History of the Pluta Cancer Center
Pluta Cancer Center was established at Genesee Hospital in 1975 by a grant from the Pluta family, and is now located at 125 Red Creek Drive in Henrietta, N.Y. Now part of the University of Rochester Medical Center's Wilmot Cancer Institute, Pluta offers the latest in radiation therapy technology and chemotherapy treatment, clinical trials, massage therapy, yoga, tai-chi, support groups and nutrition counseling in a friendly, intimate environment.
As a separate entity, The Pluta Cancer Center Foundation is governed by a board of directors that works to continue the mission and vision of Andy and Helen Pluta that has guided the center since its inception.
