It’s no secret that the government shutdown has been difficult on our community. Rochester has come together to lift up neighbors in need by providing free meals, additional pop-up food pantries, grocery gift cards, and more.

Today on the blog, we have pulled together a list of resources and local establishments that are offering assistance to those who may find themselves dealing with unexpected financial stressors. We have also included ways to contribute to these efforts should you be in a position to do so.

Throwback Monday (I can do that right?!) ✨

A few weeks ago I had the privilege of participating in 's fundraising event as a performer. Preparing for it had me reflecting on a very specific group of patients I worked with at a HLOC, people who taught me so much about resilience and courage....and patience. ✌️

But also love and pride. They've blown me away with what they've accomplished in their recovery journey and then beyond. Some of them working with me, some of them working alongside me as a colleague, and some bumping into me in line at Starbucks when I was not in my finest apparel, lol. So to ALLLLLLLL patients/clients, even if I’m no longer on your treatment team, I want you to know I’m always rooting for you. Always. 💜
