October is Contact Lens Safety Month, and Mayo Clinic Optical wants to encourage you to take care of your contacts in order to maintain the health of you and your eyes.

Important reminders:
🔎Wash your hands before handling contacts.
🔎Be sure to use fresh, approved cleaning solutions.
🔎Use your contacts only within the recommended time frame. If your contacts are for daily use, do not reuse after a single day of wear.
🔎If your contacts feel uncomfortable and irritating, reach out as soon as possible. You might just need a different brand/type. If other conditions are developing, it's important to catch them as soon as possible in order to preserve the health of your eyes.
