Ann Marie knows what it means to count on a community health center.

“The 340B program is one of the few tools community health centers have to stretch limited resources and expand care for patients who need it most,” Rose Duhan, president and CEO of the Community Health Care Association of NYS said in a statement to 340B Report. “But big pharma keeps chipping away at the program, diverting precious resources away from community health centers and their patients.”

“The 340B Prescription Drug Anti-Discrimination Act is a no-cost, commonsense fix that protects the savings health centers depend on to provide things like discounted medications, school-based health centers and other programs one in every eight New Yorkers relies on,” Duhan continued. “At a time when safety-net providers are already stretched thin, this legislation is critical to protecting access to care.”
