Football season is over, but the Bills still make us want to SHOUT! We’re thrilled to share that Bills Running Back Ray Davis will be our Portraits of Hope keynote speaker on Friday, April 10th!

Ray was the best kick returner in the NFL last season, earning All-Pro recognition by the Associated Press. As a young boy, Ray experienced homelessness and foster care while his parents were in and out of his life. Football became Ray’s emotional refuge and a key part of his mental well-being.

After Monday’s snowstorm closure a couple of weeks ago, we hit pause on routine and said yes to fun. An impromptu kickball game gave students and staff the chance to laugh, move, and reconnect—proof that sometimes the best school moments aren’t planned.

Ray’s road to the NFL was anything but easy. After spending eight years in foster care and facing periods of homelessness, football became his emotional refuge and a key part of his mental well-being. Wildcats Show Heart, Growth, and Sportsmanship Against Halpern Education Center

Earlier this month, the Villa of Hope School team played a basketball game against the Halpern Education Center. While the game may not have ended in a win on the scoreboard for the Wildcats, it was a clear victory in every way that truly matters.

From the opening tip-off, the Wildcats were on their game. They played with focus, determination, and a level of teamwork that showed just how much they have grown as a team.
The Wildcats also demonstrated noticeable improvement in their skills.

Perhaps most impressive was the sportsmanship displayed throughout the game. The Wildcats played with respect for their opponents, the officials, and the game itself.

This game was a powerful reminder that success isn’t always measured in numbers.
This game was a win for growth, teamwork, and character—and that momentum will carry the Wildcats forward as they continue their season.

Living Hope is a detox center providing services to individuals ages 16 and up. It is an 18-bed facility that provides access to medical and clinical staff to assist clients with safely managing their mild to moderate withdrawal symptoms. Open 24 hours, Living Hope Treatment Center offers short term medical treatment and provides structured and guided support.
