Today we celebrate National Doctors’ Day and recognize the physicians who dedicate their careers to caring for patients and advancing medical knowledge.

At Rochester Clinical Research, our investigators work closely with participants and research teams to help bring new treatments and healthcare solutions forward through clinical research.

We’re grateful for the physicians who guide our studies and for the care they provide to our community every day.

Happy National Doctors’ Day to all the doctors making a difference in patient care and research.

Small nutrition changes can make a big difference over time.

Try building your plate using the “half vegetables” rule: fill about half your plate with vegetables or fruits, and the other half with protein and whole grains.

It’s a small change that can help support balanced nutrition and long-term health.

Today is American Diabetes Alert Day, a reminder of how important early detection and proactive care are when it comes to diabetes and metabolic health.

Millions of adults are living with diabetes or prediabetes, often without knowing it. Research continues to play an important role in improving prevention strategies, treatment options, and long-term health outcomes.

At Rochester Clinical Research, we are currently enrolling volunteers for a diabetes research study. Qualified participants may receive study-related care at no cost, and compensation may be available.

If you or someone you know may be interested in learning more, we invite you to explore the opportunity.

In recognition of National Kidney Month, Rochester Clinical Research is taking the chance to raise awareness about Chronic Kidney Disease (KDN) — which affects over 35 million people in the U.S. alone. Kidney disease is a silent disease, in which symptoms may only show up once it's reached advanced stages. Kidney health greatly impacts many conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, obesity, cardiovascular disease, and many more —it is now more important than ever to stress a proactive approach to kidney disease via early detection, lifestyle changes that promote kidney health such as good nutrition and blood pressure management.

As we continue our research on prevention-focused treatments and chronic disease programs, we must highlight the importance of sleep and it's vital role in overall health.

Sleep has a massive effect on many areas of health, such as: heart, immune system, brain function, and mental health -- experiencing poor to no sleep over long periods of time may lead to increased risk for conditions such as hypertension, obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and mood disorders.

Prioritizing consistent, good quality sleep is one of the great ways to improve certain aspects of health in our day-to-day and helps reduce risk for serious conditions later on.

During Patient Safety Awareness Week, we’re highlighting what safety looks like inside a clinical research site.

At Rochester Clinical Research, patient safety is part of every study visit and every protocol we conduct.

It includes:

• Thorough informed consent discussions
• Investigator-led medical oversight
• Ongoing safety monitoring and adverse event reporting
• IRB review and regulatory compliance
• Detailed documentation and quality checks

Clinical research advances medicine — but it only works when participants feel informed, supported, and protected.

Patient safety isn’t just a requirement. It’s a daily responsibility.
