A huge thank you to Rochester Rotary Club for their help in getting Harbor House ready for winter! This past Sunday, members of Rochester Rotary Club volunteered to help out with some outdoor work such as raking leaves and winterization. We are so thankful for our wonderful volunteers and all the hard work they do- just look at that big pile of leaves!

Harbor House has several decorative anchors on display because we help to keep people attached and grounded when the storms of life are raging.

Anchors keep a boat steady in a surging sea. At Harbor House we keep families steady during a medical crisis by providing a convenient, supportive, and affordable place to stay and hopefully “ride out the storm.”

Shoutout to the Jen Belstadt and Scott Marshall families for the 4th Annual Jacob Marshall Memorial Blood Drive yesterday. We're in awe and filled with appreciation for how they honored Jacob's memory with this fun event that had over 85 units of blood donated and raised over $3,000 EACH for Harbor House of Rochester and Ronald McDonald House Charities of Rochester, NY Inc. You and your families are amazing!

If you want a nice drive in Western NY today, swing by the Jacob Marshall Memorial Blood Drive. This family stayed at Harbor House and the Rochester Ronald McDonald House and donates the proceeds of a HUGE basket raffle to our two organizations.

During a heroic health battle, Jacob Marshall depended on numerous blood products throughout his treatment for a rare genetic disorder at just 19 years old.

To honor his memory, Jacob's loved ones invite you to roll up a sleeve to help others in need on Saturday, September 20 from 8:30 am-3:00 pm at St. Mary's Elementary School in Lancaster. As Jacob is part of a firefighting family, first responders are especially encouraged to roll up a sleeve.

All those who come in to donate will receive an exclusive Red Cross x PEANUTS Mystery T-shirt.
