Massage Monday ππ½ββοΈ πββοΈ ππΌββοΈππΏββοΈ
Massage is great for so many reasons, but here are 3 specific ones!
1 - Massage can be useful for pain management by helping to relax tense muscles and connective tissue, break up scar tissue, releases endorphins and also affecting the nervous system to stimulate the parasympathetic system, or the "rest and digest" part of the nervous system.
2 - Massage improves circulation, which can help reduce inflammation (which often causes pain) and flush out waste products.
3 - Massage can reduce stress and tension by helping lower stress hormones in the body, like cortisol.
