Calendula (Marigold)

Calendula officinalis, marigold. Not only beautiful in the garden but an essential for your . Once harvested, calendula can be dried and used in teas, tinctures, ointments, salves and much more due to its vast medicinal properties.
Calendula is astringent, antiseptic, and an antispasmodic making it great for wound healing, hemorrhoids, ulcerations with capillary impartment, and of course a go to for any raw, tender mucous membranes (think soothing oral rinse!)

Whose suffering from ?? 🙋‍♀️🙋‍♀️

When I was in high-school I had the clearest skin for a hormonal teenager who ate terribly, rarely drank any water, and used terrible chemical filled skincare products but that all changed once I entered into medical school.

Between stress, lack of sleep, and finally detoxing from over 10 years of OCP use 💪, my skin HATED ME! It took me a while to realize that my optimal skincare routine HAD to consist of organic skincare products, regular facials, and making sure to focus on hydration 💦 and eating right 🥕🍆🥒🍅

Recently, my acne has reared its ugly head again! About Dr. Ronzo

Dr. Kathryn Ronzo graduated from the University of Bridgeport College of Naturopathic Medicine and the University of Bridgeport Acupuncture Institute, which are accredited through the Council on Naturopathic Medical Education (CNME) and the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM) respectively. Along with their national accreditation, they are also accredited through the State of Connecticut Department of Higher Education.

Prior to her education at the University of Bridgeport, she completed her Masters in Interdisciplinary Health Sciences from Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and her Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Saint Leo University in Saint Leo, Florida.

Dr. Ronzo’s thirst for knowledge led her to completed additional trainings over the years. She has completed a year and a half long training in advanced concepts of homeopathy with world-renowned Homeopaths, Dr. Paul Herscu and Dr. Amy Rothenberg, at the New England School of Homeopathy in Boston, Massachusetts. In February 2014, she began her training with Upledger Institute. Since then, she has been certified in Craniosacral Therapy one and two along with Somatic Emotional Release one and two. She also holds certifications in Facial Rejuvenation by Virginia Doran, M.S, LAc, LMT and Freeing the Liver and Gall Bladder Visceral mobilization by Dale Alexander, PhD, M.A, LMT. In July 2016, she became a Certified Placenta Encapsulation Specialist through the International Placenta and Postpartum Association, IPPA.

Currently, Dr. Ronzo shares her time between New York and Connecticut. She sees clients in person and via telemedicine in her Upstate New York office. While offering monthly education lectures on various topics relating to health, wellness, and CBD at Elm City Wellness and other venues along the East Coast.
