I wanted to take a moment to express gratitude to my family, friends, colleagues, and members of the community for supporting and embracing my aspiration! From the formal referrals to the countless word of mouth recommendations, my practice continues to bloom steadily. I strive to help all ages live purposeful lives day to day and improve overall functioning by treating & managing their mental health with an appropriate medication regimen. 💚💚

It is crucial that we recognize the significant role mental health, in general, plays in every single human’s life, every single day. There is not one person out there that has never been impacted by something related to mental health (personally/professionally/directly/indirectly).

Be aware. Be kind. Be safe. Be vigilant. Be proactive. Be supportive.

A big, bright spotlight of awareness must continue to grow, lessen stigma, and positively influence the human population now and for all future generations to come. Our lives, literally and figuratively, depend on it. 💚

Hi Everyone!

I wanted to take a moment to clarify a couple of things. The various positions/degrees/certifications in mental/behavioral health can lead to some confusion in regard to “who does what” and who is/are the appropriate clinician(s) to see. Don’t worry, my own family doesn’t completely grasp the concept of what exactly it is I do either 😉

So I am a Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. This means I am an APRN specializing in psychiatry. I see patients on an outpatient basis and manage their mental health with psychiatric medications. I am not a counselor or formal therapist. Though basic talk therapy is incorporated into my med management visits, my primary focus is psychiatric medications/regimen management. I am not offering CBT, DBT, EMDR or other formal ‘therapy only’ visits at this time.

I’m not sure what the future of Enlight holds, specific to expanding services down the road, but in the meantime I hope this explanation is helpful…again, I wouldn’t expect the general public to automatically know these details or be independently knowledgeable in this area or specialty.
