We not only support the individuals recieving care but also their caregivers in the Consumer Directed Services program (Missouri's Home Health Care program). Caregivers as they are getting hired and working also need to take care of documentations and time tracking. Our Relationship Managers also provide guidance to them when they are in the program.

Enrollment in Arizona’s Medicaid Program for Long Term Care looks a little different than most states. If you are enrolled in AHCCCS i.e. the state Medicaid and need someone to care for you and pay them through Medicaid, you have to enroll in the ALTCS program as well.

When you are taking care of a loved one, time feels like it is slipping and it becomes difficult to differentiate when you are taking care or spending time with them. Not having to add the responsiblities of another job and instead getting paid to take care of her mother made it easier for Monica. It gave her the liberty to spend her time the way she wants to after taking care of her mother.

In 2026, we are excited to announce that BURD is now in New Hampshire! We now facilitate New Hampshire’s Consumer Directed Care for Independence (CFI) program. We look forward to help families and individuals in New Hampshire to get the care and support they need and deserve.

Say hello to our BURD of the Month, Cassandra!

Cassandra is a Relationship Manager for Nevada's Personal Care Services program and helps individuals on Medicaid enroll and stay in the program. People who have worked with Cassandra described her as polite, attentive, and detailed throughout the process. She makes it effortless for individuals to pay their family caregivers by improving and simplifying the process for them. We are so grateful to have someone who so naturally and joyfully exemplifies BURD Home Health's values.

We understand becoming a caregiver can come with a lot of responsibilities and like any other job it requires skills that can make it easier for both the caregiver and the person receiving care. Trainings like CPR, First Aid, or how to communicate better with a person with disabilities or a senior person can protect and serve everyone involved in the caregiving journey.
