So listen to that dermatologist!

🤍 Starting retinol in your 20’s will help with texture, acne, pores, collagen production and more! It’s not something to NEED to start when you’re older.
🤍 Skincare gimmicks are EVERYWHERE. But what actually works…. Are products that have been formulated and tested to be out in your face. Imagine that!
🤍 SPF EVERYWHERE! Not just your face.
🤍 I am a hand cream addict! And who wouldn’t want soft hands!?
🤍 Neosporin is out, Vaseline and Aquaphor are in! Neosporin can cause sensitivities and irritation to healing skin. No thanks!
🤍 Want to exfoliate? Opt for AHA’s and BHA’s. Scrubs cause irritation and can spread bacteria, strip your barrier and make skin issues worse!

IT’S TIIIIIIME

To put more effort into your FEET!

❗️Comment FEET for my favorite foot products sent directly to you! ❗️

Our feet will be covered up for months now. But that doesn’t mean we neglect them!

Cold temps outside and dry heat inside are the perfect storm for dry cracked skin on the feet.

A few easy and simple hacks is all you need!

🦶🏽After your shower moisturize your WHOLE body with a thick cream. Not just your arms and legs…
🦶🏽 Before bed apply the same thick cream directly to your feet and then pop your favorite fuzzy socks on
🦶🏽 For chronic dry feet or cracks skin on the feet, apply a layer of Aquaphor or Vaseline on the cracked areas then your socks.

If you want to get a little fancy with your feet:

🦶🏽Use a foot file on your dry feet once a week followed by your moisturizer. The file will help to breakdown the dead skin. Your feet must be damp when doing so, and don’t go overboard with the foot file. If you remove too much it will HURT!

You can’t “shrink” your pores. Your pore size is genetic.
BUT you can improve the appearance of your pores by keeping your skin hydrated and working on your skins texture.

🖤Products containing glycolic acid or retinoids to help prevent clogging and improve skin texture along with oil-control.
🖤If you’re using scrubs, chances are you’re adding to the enhanced appearance of your pores. Ditch the scrub and opt for the above ingredients.

I have been getting so many questions about white spots in the skin!

Idiopathic Guttate Hypomelanosis also known as HYPOpigmentation.

Is it a rash? Nope!
Is it something you can scrub off? NOPE!

Idiopathic Guttate Hypomelanosis is often caused by… drumroll please… UV radiation. YUP! The sun. Think of a freckle without the pigmentation.

Spots often appear on sun-exposed areas, such as the arms, legs, face, and back.

Treatment for these spots can consist of topical retinoids, laser therapy, chemical peels, and OF COURSE regular sunscreen use to protect against further UV damage.

If your white spots like like they’re spreading, getting bigger, turning colors or are painful, it’s time to schedule an appointment with your dermatologist.

Be that girl and have healthy skin!

🫶🏽A gentle cleanser. Toss your scrub and opt for a mild cleanser with targeted ingredients to meet your skins needs.
🫶🏽A daily SPF. It’s anti-aging, protects against UV damage that can make acne and acne scarring worse. And of course UV damage that can lease to skin cancer
🫶🏽Vitamin C. Paired with your SPF, this helps to protect further, brighten, even and keep you glowing.
🫶🏽Barrier support. This can mean a ceramide rich moisturizer, barrier repairing serum or balm
🫶🏽Hydration! Even oily skin needs to hydrate. Moisturizing after cleansing helps to replenish and restore hydration
🫶🏽Targeted treatment product. Whether that’s a retinol, AHA/BHA, niacinamide, hydroquinone, etc. Based off of YOUR skins needs will determine which treatment product you need.

Healthy skin takes work, and working with a board certified Derm will help you achieve those goals!
