Today we officially welcome Dr. Sara Calus to the position of Director of Educational & Clinical Services!
Dr. Calus received her Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Anthropology from the University of Buffalo in 1995 and went on to earn her Doctorate in Physical Therapy form Slippery Rock University in 1999. She has worked as a physical therapist in the Rochester area for the last 25 years and has experience with rehabilitation and home care working with both geriatric and pediatric populations.
At RHSC, Dr. Calus provides clinical physical therapy services for children including evaluations, screenings and individual services. She also supervises the clinical staff and works with local universities for clinical student and intern placements. She has worked in RHSC's developmental groups for 15 years and strongly believes in a ‘whole child approach’ which encompasses meeting children where they are and working collaboratively with interdisciplinary team members to help children succeed.
We're thrilled to have her step into this role and excited to see where she leads our organization, our children and their families next!
