Make it make sense 🫠🫠

Input = output.

Input garbage = output garbage 🗑️

Input whole, healthy foods = output optimally functioning humans 😬

We simply have to do the best we can.

There’s so much information out there. 💡

There’s so much MISinformation out there. ❌

Our job is to do our own research…listen to our bodies…and be our own health advocates. 🩺

We owe it to ourselves and to our loved ones to be the best “us” we can be. 🤍

Do yourself a favor 😏

Take a moment, each day, and show yourself a little love🧘🏻‍♀️

Take a small amount of energy that would’ve been poured into someone/something else, and massage your feet🦶🏼

Give yourself 60 seconds a day, and improve your health 💆🏻‍♀️

Manufacturers can be sneaky…but why are we putting harmful oils into things like seasonings anyways?! 🤦🏻‍♀️

This is why it’s crucial to ALWAYS read labels…even on products where you may be surprised to find hidden + added (unnecessary) ingredients.

Sunflower oil sounds healthy, right? Isn’t it made from sunflower seeds? 🌱

The truth is, sunflower oil has a very high concentration of Omega-6 fatty acids, which are pro-inflammatory; especially when consumed without the proper balance of omega-3’s. Sunflower oil also oxidizes at high temperatures:

It breaks down and releases high levels of aldehydes, which are toxic compounds associated with cardiovascular diseases, cancer, and neurodegenerative conditions ⚠️

Most commercially available sunflower oils are heavily refined, bleached, and deodorized using high heat. This process removes beneficial compounds (like vitamin E and polyphenols) and forms oxidized, pro-inflammatory, and harmful residues 🙅🏻‍♀️

Small amounts of sunflower oil are ok to consume occasionally, but make sure it is cold-pressed, and balanced with sources of Omega-3’s, such as flax seeds, fatty fish, walnuts, cod liver oil, etc. 🎣

Another tip to ensure your workout works FOR you, instead of against you 💪🏼

During and after a workout, your body is in parasympathetic dominance = fight or flight.

As it should be! It’s working hard under stress 🏋️‍♀️

The important part is afterwards, as your body is transitioning and coming back “down” into parasympathetic. You want to give your body enough time for this to happen before eating 🥓

In order for digestion to actually “turn on”, your body needs to switch its mode from sympathetic to parasympathetic (rest & digest).

Allow this to happen naturally before you grab a snack; this way, your workout AND your fuel will work for you 🤩

Day 9! 🩲🧦

Investing in non-toxic clothing…for the parts that really matter!

The truth is, there are thousands of chemicals in our every day clothing items…so unless we are making all of our own clothing from burlap sacks, we have to prioritize 🤷🏻‍♀️

I started with intimates: underwear, socks, and leggings. Pretty much the things I live in every day 💁🏻‍♀️

Our skin is built to be absorptive - and I don’t want to be absorbing chemicals and toxins all day every day 🚫 especially on THOSE PARTS.

I’m not affiliated with any of these companies; I don’t have promo codes. These are simply companies I’ve researched and have found to be good options in the non-toxic world of clothing 👕
