The time is NOW - not down the road when you get the diagnosis; not when your symptoms finally get “bad enough”; not when you or someone close to you has a health scare, making you act and react out of fear.

Your morning routine can be a day changer; if you’re doing things right, and especially if you’re doing things wrong.

Are you looking at your phone first thing in the morning?

Are you drinking coffee on an empty stomach?

Are you skipping breakfast?

These seemingly small habits can significantly impact your gut health, hormonal health, sleeping patterns, energy levels and more.

Want to know how to quickly read a label to know, generally speaking, if it’s something you should put in your cart or put back on the shelf?

At the very least, you want to look for 3 things:

1️⃣ What is the serving size? You’ll want to know this for the second tip…

2️⃣ How many grams of sugar? Your goal is to aim for single digits. Take into consideration the serving size here, to know how much to eat without having to double the grams of sugar you’re consuming.

3️⃣ What kind of oil is in this product?
There could be 67 ingredients in something, but a very important component is the oil used to make this product. Skim through the ingredients to make sure it’s either olive oil, avocado oil, or coconut oil. If it’s any other oil (vegetable, soybean, sunflower, canola, etc.), that will cause severe inflammation in the body; best to choose something else.

Again, there are more things to consider when reading a food label, however these 3 things are a great way to get started.
