Today, we celebrate the people who turn compassion into action—our caregivers.

Caregiving is more than tasks or schedules. It’s patience, consistency, and showing up with kindness every day. Our caregivers are the heart of everything we do, supporting seniors and families with dignity, respect, and genuine care.

On National Caregivers Day, we thank you for the moments you create, the trust you build, and the lives you touch. 💙

Winter has a way of changing everyday routines—more time indoors, slick walkways, and fewer daylight hours.

For many older adults, a little extra support during the colder months can make daily life safer and more comfortable. From helping reduce fall risks to making sure meals, hydration, and companionship don’t get overlooked, having the right support in place can make all the difference.

Winter safety isn’t about doing more. It’s about knowing someone is there—especially when it matters most.

A new year often brings a fresh perspective and it’s a good time to check in on the people we love.

Small changes in routine, mobility, or daily needs can add up over time.
Taking a moment to reassess support doesn’t take away independence—it helps protect it and gives families peace of mind.

Sometimes, a simple check-in is all it takes to set the tone for a safer, more comfortable year ahead.

Another year of caring for families in our community.

To our incredible caregiver: thank you for showing up every day with compassion and heart. And to the families who trust us with the care of their loved ones, thank you for allowing us into your homes and lives.

Our newest blog post, “Personalized Care, Thoughtfully Coordinated,” walks you through exactly how we get to know each individual, build a care plan around their needs, and match them with the right caregiver—every time.

From our free in-home assessment to ongoing check-ins and communication, we believe that care should never feel generic. It should feel personal, aligned, and truly supportive of someone’s daily life.

💛 If you’ve ever wondered what makes IHPS different, this is a great place to start.

Personalized care, thoughtfully coordinated.

It all starts with your first call. Our Care Coordinator schedules a time that works best for you, visits your home to understand your needs, and then matches you with the ideal caregiver — based on your preferences, personality, and care level.

We stay connected every step of the way to ensure the perfect fit.

Let’s find the right caregiver together!

Our Story

IHPS founder and CEO, Michael Collura, began working in the senior care industry at age 16. His tenure, progressed into learning healthcare management, administration, operations, sales and marketing and ultimately, resulted in the opening of In Home Personal Services in IL in 2004. We quickly earned the respect and trust of our clients and have since grown throughout northern Illinois. Our biggest challenge is to say NO. We've literally served thousands of seniors in northern Illinois and now, we have franchisees helping us to serve even more in Illinois, Florida and Texas. We have wide open and generously sized territories available throughout the country. Healthcare experience is not needed, just business and preferably management.
