I sent this photo with the following text to a good friend last week. As I found myself sitting in the same place this morning I couldn’t help but wondering if there was someone else out there who may need the same message. If so, this is for you 💗🌸
“As I sit with my coffee, admiring the morning light on my orchid — the one I somehow have not only kept alive, but coaxed into blooming — I found myself thinking of you.
This orchid was a gift. Though I’ve always had a way with plants, I never sought out orchids — too temperamental, too particular. But here it is: thriving, vibrant, beautiful. All I’ve done is offer it love and space to grow on its own terms.
It’s become my favorite. Each morning, I sit beside it to drink my coffee and set my intentions for the day.
Today, it reminded me that sometimes, the most difficult things — the ones that ask the most of us — can also yield the most extraordinary beauty.”
Take a deep breath today, hold it in your belly, and as you exhale remember that wondrous things come with patience and peace.
