We’re grateful to A.M.E. Special Needs & Abilities Ministry for the opportunity to share about Chrysalis Autism Center πŸ’™
Due to a last minute change, one of our BCBAs, Angie Moore, stepped in to present and did a wonderful job sharing about autism and ABA treatment and how we support our learners and their families.
We’re thankful to be part of a conversation focused on building understanding in our communities.

🌱 Meet the Team Monday: Kendal Ball, RBT II 🌱

We are so excited to kick off our monthly Staff Spotlight series, and there is no better place to start than with Kendal Ball!

Kendal joined the Chrysalis family almost one year ago (May marks her one year anniversary!) straight from her role as a Resident Advisor at Marshall University. She had researched ABA during undergrad, interviewed with us, and packed up her life to move here. This was her very first full time job in the field, and she says it has been even better than she expected.

When asked what moment at Chrysalis makes her most proud, Kendal did not hesitate: watching one of her learners spontaneously start naming the days of the week and months of the year on their own. ❀️🧩

"I feel like I am a steppingstone in their future."

One thing she wishes more people knew about Chrysalis? The incredible support you receive from your supervisors. And her personal value she carries into every session? Be kind to everyone.

Outside of work, you will find Kendal playing volleyball, cooking, or hanging out with her two cats. 🏐🐱🐱

And we just must share some exciting news: Kendal begins Graduate School on April 15th, pursuing her MS in ABA on her path to becoming a BCBA! πŸŽ‰ But honestly, she is already well on her way. Kendal holds the RBT II designation at Chrysalis, which recognizes team members who have completed formal training in Skills-Based Teaching, bring 6 or more months of ABA experience, and have demonstrated consistent dedication to their clients' therapy. We could not be prouder to cheer her on! πŸŽ“

Kendal, we are so grateful you chose Chrysalis. Here is to one year and many more!

Happy World Behavior Analysis Day πŸ’™

Today we celebrate the science of behavior analysis and the work of B. F. Skinner, the father of verbal behavior. His work continues to guide how we help our learners communicate and connect with the world around them.

At Chrysalis Autism Center, verbal behavior is at the heart of what we do. Through play, peer interaction, group learning, and 1:1 support, we focus on building meaningful communication and lifelong skills.

Every moment matters, and every step forward is worth celebrating.

Although it’s late, we cannot let the day pass without shining light on Profound Autism Day. An opportunity to give the spotlight to all levels of Autism and their families.
