Hey if you are looking for gift ideas for anyone involved with noise, there is always a gift certificate for custom hearing protection.
I have the mold that I take of the ear and finish it off and that is your protection or I have noise breakers that you can still hear speech up to 90 DB and then it shuts off over that point.
