🏡🧠 Preventing Falls Protects the Brain

Falls are one of the leading causes of brain injury, especially for older adults and young children.

Simple steps can help prevent serious injury:

✔ Remove tripping hazards
✔ Install handrails and grab bars
✔ Improve lighting in walkways
✔ Use non-slip mats in bathrooms

A safer home protects the people we love.

The Jimmy Simpson Foundation works every day to support individuals living with brain injury — and prevention remains one of our most powerful tools.

Yesterday, we welcomed Clay Fuller to Safehaven to learn more about the work happening every day through The Jimmy Simpson Foundation.

During his visit, Clay met with CEO Vickie Hodge, members of our leadership team, staff, and Safehaven residents to better understand the realities of living with brain injury and the life-changing support services provided at Safehaven.

The conversation also highlighted the impact our Foundations for the Future expansion initiative will have — not only for individuals and families affected by brain injury, but also for the future of healthcare access, jobs, and economic growth throughout Northwest Georgia and beyond.

While The Jimmy Simpson Foundation does not endorse or support any political candidate or elected official, we believe education and awareness are essential. We encourage policymakers and community leaders from all backgrounds to visit our campus and learn about the vital work happening here.

We are grateful for those who take the time to listen, learn, and see firsthand the importance of brain injury care.

🚗🧠 Drive Safe. Protect Your Brain.

Many brain injuries occur during motor vehicle accidents — which makes safe driving one of the most important prevention steps we can take.

This Brain Injury Awareness Month, remember to:

✔ Avoid distracted driving
✔ Never drive impaired
✔ Follow speed limits
✔ Stay alert behind the wheel

Safe driving protects you, your passengers, and everyone on the road.

At the Jimmy Simpson Foundation, we believe prevention starts with everyday choices.
