Today is Inspire Your Heart with Art Day 🎨

Art gives us a way to express what words sometimes can’t.
Creating—drawing, painting, writing, or crafting—can reduce stress, support emotional healing, and help us process our experiences.

You don’t have to be an artist.
You just have to show up.

Call today to schedule Art/Play Therapy session 307-630-3466.

It’s Opposite Day 🙃
So today we’re pretending stress, burnout, and overwhelm magically fix themselves

✨ Reality Check:
• Ignoring stress doesn’t make it disappear
• Rest is not optional
• Asking for help is a strength, not a weakness

Your mental health matters — today and every day.
Support is always available, and you don’t have to do it alone.

🥧 National Pie Day & Mental Health 🥧
Life isn’t about having it all perfectly together—it’s about balance. And sometimes, balance looks like tending to your mental health and enjoying a slice of pie.

Just like pie, well-being is made up of many pieces:
✨ Emotional health
✨ Physical care
✨ Connection & support
✨ Rest
✨ Joy - personal time

Mental health doesn’t require perfection—just intention. Checking in with yourself, setting boundaries, asking for support, and allowing small moments of pleasure all matter.
So today, enjoy a slice of pie. Savor the moment. And remember: nourishment isn’t only about what’s on your plate—it’s also about caring for your mind and heart.

🤍 How Many Hugs Do We Really Need? 🤍

On National Hugging Day, let’s talk numbers—because science shows hugs are more than affection… they’re medicine for the mind and body.

4 is good, 8 is better and 12 or more is best!

The Mental Health Benefits of Hugs
• Depression & Anxiety: Daily hugging is linked to a lower chance of depression and anxiety
• Stress Reduction: Hugs lower cortisol (stress hormone), reduce blood pressure and heart rate, and increase oxytocin (bonding hormone)
• Mood Buffering: On days with conflict, hugs significantly reduce the negative impact on mood (Psychology Today)

Not everyone has access to safe touch—and that matters too. Healing connection can also be built through supportive relationships and therapy.

🤍 National Hugging Day 🤍

Hugs aren’t just comforting—they’re powerful for mental health.
Research shows that daily hugs can:
✨ Decrease symptoms of depression and anxiety
✨ Lower stress hormones like cortisol
✨ Increase “feel-good” hormones such as oxytocin and serotonin
✨ Help buffer negative moods after conflict
✨ Promote better sleep and overall well-being

Today is a gentle reminder:
Connection heals. Touch matters. You’re not meant to do life alone.

If hugs feel hard or unavailable right now, know that support, connection, and healing can also be built through safe relationships—sometimes starting in therapy.

✨ Now Accepting New Clients ✨

Life isn’t always easy, but we are built for relationship and made to thrive. Good therapy helps us navigate our hearts and minds in ways that make it safe to be seen—even in our defenses—and to gently lower our guard long enough to risk being known and loved.
My goal is to create a safe, compassionate, and collaborative space where you can bring your whole story without fear of judgment. Therapy is a shared journey, grounded in evidence-based practices and deep respect for your unique experience.

✨ Appointments are available.

The words we see and tell ourselves shape our mental health.
✨ Eat to nourish
✨ Move with intention
✨ Rest without guilt
✨ Speak kindly to yourself
If you could stick one reminder on your day today, what would it say?
