Visitation, with the family present, will be held Monday, February 23, from 5:00-7:00 PM at Doon First Reformed Church (406 Barton Avenue). A funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 24, at 10:00 AM, at Doon United Reformed Church (608 Rice Avenue) with Pastor Peter Kolb officiating. Doon, IA: Michael Dale De Jager, 64, of Doon, Iowa, went to be with Jesus on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, passing away at Whispering Heights in Rock Valley, Iowa following multiple medical difficulties over the past few years. A funeral service will be held Monday, February 16, 2026, at 10:00 AM, at Trinity Christian Reformed Church of Rock Valley with Pastor Luke Johnston officiating. IRETON, IOWA ~ Donald H. Lockhorst, 91, of Ireton, passed away on Monday, February 9, 2026, at the Orange City Area Health System in Orange City.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 14, 2026, at First Reformed Church in Ireton with Rev. Gerald Norman officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Ireton. A luncheon at the Ireton Community Center will be after the committal service. Visitation with the family will be Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the First Reformed Church. The Porter Funeral Home in Ireton is assisting the family.

Alvina Marcella Van’t Hul, 96, of Rock Valley, Iowa, was taken to her heavenly home on Thursday, February 5, 2026, while living at Whispering Heights in Rock Valley.

A celebration of her life will be held Wednesday, February 11, at 11:00 AM at the First Christian Reformed Church of Rock Valley with Rev. Matthew Haan officiating. The service can be livestreamed at https://www.christianworldmedia.com/livechannel/firstcrcrv. Burial will follow the service at Valley View Cemetery of Rock Valley. Visitation with the family present will be held prior to the service from 9:30-10:30 AM at First CRC, 1401 16th Street, Rock Valley.

Vernon Edward “Cork” Serck, 90 of Inwood, IA passed away on January 30, 2026, at Fellowship Village in Inwood, IA.
Visitation with the family present will take place at Porter Funeral Home, 102 S. Main Street in Inwood, IA on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at 12:30 PM followed by the service at 2:00 PM.
Burial with military honors will be at Christ Lutheran Church Cemetery in Alvord, IA immediately following the service. Please join us for a light luncheon and fellowship after the cemetery at the Alvord Community Center.
