Messing around with some herbal infusions 🍃

Love adding this at the end of my work day ✨

Legs up the wall is so relaxing, improves lymphatic flow, helps blood return to the heart, and gives your legs and lower back a gentle stretch.

After ~20 weeks pregnant we want to modify the flat back on the ground with either a wedge under the right hip, or pillows under the back to incline your position a bit.

Take this time to connect with your baby 🥰 take some breaths and sink into the vibes

Prep some herbs with me for an oil infusion!

We mixed:

Calendula
Arnica
St. John’s Wort
Lavender
Red Rose Petals

It’s a great blend for muscle soreness, inflammation, and relaxation. I’ll be adding some oil asap and then we wait about 4-6 weeks!

Let me explain 👇🏼

1. Prenatal massage is SAFE in the first trimester! Lots of major corporations won’t offer 1st trimester massage out of liability concern, but there is zero evidence that suggests massage therapy causes miscarriage. Zero. We need to stop perpetuating that myth.

2. Deeper pressure is safe when done by a knowledgeable professional! There are a few areas we avoid deeper pressure for certain safety reasons, the belly being one (obviously). For the most part if you prefer deeper pressure during your massage, we can get that done 👍🏼

3. Once you’re unable to lay flat on your belly, side lying massage is preferred for posterior bodywork. Laying face down for extended periods can actually cause more strain on the round ligaments trying to hold the uterus up 😅

I could go on and on but these are the first 3 that come to mind!
