Our experienced staff provides comprehensive clinical, therapeutic, and support programs and services that positively impact the people we serve. In partnership with the Rockford Lions Club, we are holding the Inaugural Hike For Hearing • 5K Run/Walk on May 2nd at Rock Cut State Park, to promote awareness of hearing loss and the importance of regular testing.

This will be a family-friendly event entirely on the roads of Rock Cut in order to be wheelchair, stroller and walker accessible, as well as facilitating the timed 5K run. To register to Hike or Run visit cshil.org/hike or runsignup.com/Race/IL/LovesPark/HikeForHearing5KRunWalk. Registration costs are $35 and serves as your donation to the fundraiser. Event t-shirts are included to show your support. All are welcome to join us for a fun Spring day in the park!

Great News >> We just received two donated sets of newer, high tech hearing aids and our Spring Cleaning Donation Day giving has begun! The Center will be donating these devices to someone in need with giveaway details coming soon.

Don't forget to bring your old, used hearing and vision equipment to the Center this Saturday March 21st between 9am - Noon, 8038 MacIntosh Lane, Rockford, IL. Volunteers will be on hand to collect your old equipment so we can recycle, refurbish and redistribute them to those who need assistive devices, but may not have the means for newer technology.

Quick reminder >>> In coordination with the Rockford Lions Club, on Saturday March 21st we are having a Spring Cleaning Clear-out day for collecting donations of old vision and hearing equipment.

Volunteers will be on hand to accept outdated and used equipment including CCTVs, white canes, magnifiers and readers, hearing aids, eye glasses, cell phones and more. All collected donations will be recycled, repaired and repurposed if possible, for those who need assistive devices but may not be able to afford newer technology.

All donations can be dropped off March 21st between 9am - Noon at the Center for Sight & Hearing, 8038 Macintosh Ln, Rockford, IL. For more information call the Center at 815-332-6800.

The Center partners with ITAC to offer those with hard of hearing issues FREE large display phones, equipment and accessories. We have a display set up in our lobby to showcase a variety of phone styles and set-up. Patients who qualify for a free phone or tablet would only need a land line phone or cellular line. To qualify:
• Must be a documented resident of Illinois.
• Have active phone service (Landline, Cellular, Cable/VOIP, Prepaid Cellular), a copy of phone bill is required.
• Submit an application signed by an Audiologist acknowledging your hearing loss to the extent that you cannot use the standard phone system.
