Be sure to shovel!
During these colder months, its important to shovel for accessibility. Though it surely isn't anyone's favorite task, shoveling creates accessible pathways for children walking home from school, neighbors, and people with disabilities.

Immunocompromised - we may have all heard of the term, but what does it mean?
Immunocompromised is a condition where a person's immune system is weakened. This means they have a harder time fighting infections and can get sick more often and more severely.
Be sure to help prevent your loved ones who are immunocompromised by staying away when ill, practicing good hygiene (especially in these winter months), and communicating openly.

This week, we would like to shout out our Youth Services Specialist, Renee! Renee recently hit her 90 days with RAMP, and has already made big strides within the youth services team. We are excited to see what the future holds for her!

Image description: Text says “In my role as a Youth Services Specialist, I teach the T’NT curriculum and the Fast Track (Early Start) program, working with students one-on-one, in small groups, and in classroom settings. I help young people build confidence and independent living skills. My approach is to meet each student where they’re at, highlight their strengths, and support them as they take meaningful steps toward greater independence and adulthood. Even in the short time I’ve been at RAMP, I’ve grown a lot as an educator, advocate, and mentor. I’ve learned new curricula, gotten more involved in disability advocacy, and had the chance to work with a team that truly values creativity, compassion, and growth. Outside of work, I love traveling to Maine to visit my daughter, spending time with my family in Rockford, and finding little adventures close to home. In my spare time, you can usually find me out on my road or mountain bike and also walking my dogs in the local forest preserves.”
