As Nurse Practioners' Week comes to an end, we of course want to shout out our fantastic Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, Rachel Wilcox!

Rachel has been instrumental in bringing pediatric primary care to the Knox Clinic for the first time in our 26-year history! Her care, attention to detail, and positive demeanor make our practice a more welcoming and safe place for patients and staff alike!

Among the amazing feedback we have been given about Rachel includes a mother saying her children "feel heard, and are valued as patients and individuals." This is the type of quality care we pride ourselves on.

As we continue to expand our services, we couldn't be more grateful to have Rachel on our team!

It is National Nurse Practitioners' Week, and we have some exciting news!
We’re thrilled to welcome Karen Lloyd Alves Moreira, FNP, to the Knox Clinic team!

Karen brings a strong background in primary care and public health, is bilingual in English and Portuguese, and is passionate about creating meaningful connections with her patients. She hopes to be “a light in people’s lives” through compassionate, patient-centered care. 💙

Join us in giving Karen a warm welcome as we continue expanding access to affordable, quality healthcare in Midcoast Maine!

From a one-night-a-week volunteer clinic to a growing Community Health Center serving thousands, Meredith has helped shape what accessible healthcare looks like in Knox County.

With our recent purchase of the Bok Medical Building and the addition of our mobile health bus, we’re one step closer to ensuring quality care is available for everyone who needs it — no matter their insurance status or income.

Our very first event with the mobile unit was a SUCCESS!
Our team was able to administer vaccines to over 20 individuals, and help people connect to essential resources, to***co cessation kits, and even primary care!

A huge thank you to MaineHealth's Community Health and Pharmacy team for helping support this event.

And an extra special shoutout to AIO Food and Energy Assistance for being such a wonderful host and partner. We can't wait to do many more events with you!

Stop by the Knox Clinic (22 White Street, Rockland) between 10 AM and 2 PM for our Free Car Seat Safety Checks with Jess Bowen, RN, who’s nationally certified to make sure your little ones are safe and secure on the road.

We’ll also have pumpkin painting supplies for the kiddos, so bring the family and join in the fun!

And don’t forget, the fun continues later today at the Trunk or Treat at the Flanagan Center from 5–7 PM, just down the street!
