Happy Spring!
I hope this finds you well. I'm sure you've heard the news that Governor Mills has announced the mask mandate for vaccinated people is lifted as of May 24th, which is very exciting to have steps back to normalcy.

However, massage is considered a healthcare setting and mask wearing will continue at my office. If you are vaccinated, please feel free to bring in your vaccination card and I will scan it and have it with your file for when the mandates change.
Also at this time, my office building going to continue requiring masks upon entering the building.

I am opening August 3rd! Online booking is back up and running.

I am following the Maine CDC guidelines provided to me for reopening my office. There will be new protocols that we need to follow when coming to get a massage.

**Changes for you**

•Everyone is expected to wear a mask. If you do not have one, I will provide one. If you can not wear a mask due to medical reasons I ask that you please wait to schedule at this time.
•I will check your temperature upon arrival.
•You will be asked to wash your hands upon arrival.
•Talking will be kept to a minimum and will be for check ins on pressure
•I will be sending waivers and health check forms to you electronically to sign within 24 hours of your appointment.
•Please bring your own water, I am unable to offer you any at this time.
•I will have payment available through my online booking system. You're welcome to pay by check or cash. Please have checks made out to Leila M Percy Massage ahead of time. For cash payments please have the exact amount.
•If you have a gift certificate please notify me of your intent to use it upon booking. Please do not bring it in, I have this information logged in my computer.
•You are still welcome to arrive early, but at this time I ask that it is no more than 10minutes.
•The sitting area will not be available for use; I would suggest if you need a moment, taking a nice leisurely stroll down the street.

**Changes I am doing**

•I will be wearing a mask and face shield.
•I will have hand sanitizer available in multiple places in my office.
•I am using EPA approved disinfectant to clean all surfaces between each client. This includes the massage room, bathroom, and all door k***s and any other surface that was touched.
•I will have an ozone free, HEPA air purifier going near the head of the table during all massages.
•I will also be changing my clothes between clients.

I would like you to know that I am doing everything I can to make massage as safe as possible at this time. The number of Covid-19 cases remain low in our county and the surrounding counties which also makes it safer. We are all still at some risk of catching the virus until there is a vaccine. I fully understand and support your decision to come in or to wait until there is a vaccine.

I ask that you please reschedule if you or anyone you've come into contact with has been exposed to Covid-19 or if you are experiencing any of the symptoms of Covid-19.

Finally, please call me prior to scheduling if
a. you have had the virus
b. or been exposed to someone with Covid-19
I will have additional questions to ask to determine if it's safe for you to have a massage.

Hi friends,
With the virus still spreading and the uncertainty of when the need to social distance will be lifted; I am changing my opening date to temporarily closed for the foreseeable future. As soon as it is safe to reopen my practice I will.

In light of the current recommendations from the CDC and Govenor Mills, and a confirmed Covid-19 case in our county, I must temporarily close my office. It is the responsible thing to do for right now. I have opened my online calendar, starting the week of April 13, however, this may change as we near that date.

I will update you here as we see how all this pans out.

With everyone rightfully concerned about the spread of the corona virus and seasonal flu, please know that I take my client's health (and my own) very seriously. I disinfect all surfaces in between each client and launder my linens in hot water. I want you to feel safe to continuing getting massage, while we protect ourselves from these viruses.

I always have my client's needs in mind when deciding on continuing education classes each year.

My Corrective Exercise Specialist certificate arrived in the mail today! I took my final exam on 11/26/19 and passed with high marks! 😁

Lifestyles and/or past injuries can cause our bodies to hold certain movement patterns which may cause pain, now or in the future.
