Spring break looked a little different for me this year. In addition to soaking in the Florida warmth (and navigating a couple of rainy days) with my family, I found myself doing what I always do — connecting with people who light me up professionally and personally.

Dr. Pavana Beerelli and I were fellows together at LSU. We sat in the same rooms, learned from the same mentors, and dreamed about the practices we would one day build. Today, I got to walk into hers.

Melbourne Allergy & Asthma is everything you hope for when a friend goes out and builds something from the ground up. Watching a fellow allergist — and fellow entrepreneur — create a practice that reflects her vision and her values? That is one of the greatest privileges of this career.

To every physician building something as an entrepreneur: find your people. Keep them close. Cheer loudly for what they are creating.

Feeling incredibly grateful after an unforgettable weekend at the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology Leadership Summit in Chicago. Being invited to join such an inspiring group of allergists and immunologists from across the country was truly an honor.

The experience was profound- filled with meaningful conversations, shared challenges, and powerful insights that will continue to shape how I lead my practice and care for my patients.

So many of the lessons learned extend far beyond medicine- reminders about leadership, connection, growth, and intention that apply to all areas of life. Grateful for the opportunity, people and inspiration. ✨

🍂 Fall is here, but so are the sniffles! 🤧

If you find yourself sneezing, dealing with a runny or stuffy nose, itchy eyes, or post-nasal drip this time of year, it might not be a lingering cold- it could be seasonal allergic rhinitis (a.k.a. hay fever).

Common fall triggers include:
🍁 Ragweed pollen
🍂 Mold from fallen leaves
🌾 Dust mites indoors as windows close

✨ A few tips to help manage symptoms:
• Keep windows closed on high pollen days
• Shower & change clothes after outdoor activities
• Use an air purifier indoors
• Talk to your healthcare provider about treatments if symptoms persist

Don’t let allergies dim the cozy vibes of fall, small steps can make a big difference in how you feel this season. 🍁🍵
