Access Counseling

Access Counseling To provide affordable counseling to individuals who otherwise could not afford mental health care.

For over three decades, ACCESS (Aransas County Counseling & Educational Support Services) has been a steady hand for the Coastal Bend, providing affordable services and hope when it was needed most. Access Counseling works solely on grants and private donations, we accept any donation - large and small to help subsidize the cost of mental health care for people who wish to help themselves.

This photo takes us back to 2012 when the Access Counseling Board and team cut a ribbon with the Rockport Fulton Chamber for their new location with a small circle of neighbors who believed Aransas County deserved a place like Access.

Day 28 – Giving Tuesday: You’re Part of This!

When we look at old newspaper clippings about Access, it's clear this community has always been the heartbeat of this organization.

If you’ve ever referred a friend, donated $10, volunteered, or offered a kind word, please know you are part of what makes Access possible. Your generosity has helped more than 4,000 families find hope and stability right here in Aransas County and the Coastal Bend.

Today, on Giving Tuesday, we are asking you to lean in again.
Please give $5, $10 or even $30 for 30 years and help keep care local and accessible: https://givebutter.com/c/access2025

And don't forget! On Dec 4th, bring a friend and come celebrate what YOU have built at 901 E Main St.

Day 27 – Board and Staff Appreciation!

Community member and former school counselor Ruth Douglas has supported Access for decades (far left in both photos!), and is one of our wonderful board members.

The steady commitment from the entire Access organization is a big part of why it still stands strong today.

Our Story

Aransas County Counseling and Educational Support Service, Inc. (ACCESS) had its beginning in 1992, from a need identified by Dr. Frances Mayo, for affordable counseling services and educational programs for all people. With the help and dedication of many volunteers, ACCESS found a permanent home in 1997 and continues in helping people help themselves.
