Today is World Autism Awareness Day!

We love seeing stories like Carl the Collector that celebrate different ways of thinking, playing, and connecting.

Every child is their own kind of amazing, and we’re here to support and celebrate them just as they are. 💙

On World Autism Day (and each day), we recognize that every Autistic person is their own kind of amazing.

Some of us love patterns. Some of us love sounds. Some of us love quiet spaces, big ideas, or noticing details others might miss.

Some, like Carl's friend Lotta, see colors when they hear music. And some, like Carl, are sensory seekers who love strong smells.

There isn’t just one way to be Autistic. There are all kinds of kinds.

That’s something we celebrate every day at the Autism Society of America, and it’s something we love about Carl, Lotta, and their friends in Fuzzytown, too.

Calling all local SLPS! 🚨 We’re excited to share a secured school-based SLP contract opportunity in a small, local Northern Illinois district.

This is a full-year, ready-to-go placement beginning August 17, 2026.

About the contract:
- 2 days per week (schedule set by SLP; approx. 7:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m.)
- One school location (no travel!)
- Primarily general education caseload (additional details provided upon placement)
- Full school-year placement (2026-27)
-Rate: $73/hour
- $500 sign-on bonus if contract is signed by June 1, 2026

This is a stable, established placement for an SLP looking for flexibility, consistency, and meaningful school-based impact.

March 21 is World Down Syndrome Day. 💙💛

This year’s theme is Together Against Loneliness, highlighting the importance of meaningful inclusion and connection for individuals with Down syndrome.

Communication plays a powerful role in helping children build friendships, participate in conversations, and feel like they belong.

We are honored to partner with GiGi's Playhouse - Rockford LLC and the Amina Grace Program to support individuals and families in our area with a more inclusive, welcoming space to grow.

Every child deserves the opportunity to communicate, connect, and be included.
