OB kids had a blast on our movie field trip last month!

We loved watching Charlie the Wonder Dog and seeing everyone engaged and excited throughout the experience.

This movie outing was mostly about fun (because who doesn’t love a good Owen Wilson film?), but it was also a huge step in practicing independence. For a lot of our kids, public places, loud sounds, and new environments can feel overwhelming.

The field trip gave us a chance to practice observation, courage, and social interaction in a different, fun setting.

In fact, the outing went SO well, we completely forgot to take pictures from our time!

That's how you know great memories were made.

Thanks to everyone who joined in and helped make this day so special. We can’t wait for the next adventure!

Parents should NOT have to do things alone.

But, finding your "village", as they say, isn’t always a piece of cake – especially when your child is neurodivergent or autistic. It’s easy to feel different or like you won’t fit in.

That's why we always offer different ways to connect with other parents in the OB community.

We aim for simple, low-pressure events to meet other parents, take a breath, and remember you’re not doing this alone.

When Dr. Dana first started working in the Applied Behavior Analysis industry, she worked with a young boy who had been through a lot more than most adults in his very young life.

While he was very smart, he was often only seen for his behavior, his outbursts, and lack of impulse control.

But, after taking the time to see his strengths and focus on rewarding him for his success (rather than blame for his struggles), he started to really shine.

And it solidified in her just how important the need for ABA and behavioral therapy is for children and their parents.

To show them that, just because they might have difficult chapters, torn pages, and layered stories that don’t always follow the normal plot, that they are still smart, independent, and capable of thriving in life, school, and beyond.
