Re-Post - STILL MISSING AS OF Sep 13, 2021***

Lot's of people buy ducks in the spring at the feed stores with the intention of "releasing" them on a public pond when they get bigger. This female was picked up at Cater Lake in Anderson. She's been repeatedly r***d by the male population at the pond, which far outnumbers the female population. When dumped at the public ponds, the ducks are attacked by the existing ones, and sometimes killed. Her feathers are broken and pulled out, the back of her neck is bloody and the skin has been ripped off from her repeatedly being grabbed by the back of the neck and held under water. She's weak from not being able to eat because she's been trying to hide from all the other ducks. All of those spots that you see that look dirty, that's not dirt, that's blood. This is another instance of a domestic duck that is at the mercy of the general public, hoping a good samaritan will rescue her and get her help because she has no owner. No city, county or park employee is going to take responsibility for her care or vet bills.
Don't buy ducks that you don't intend to keep forever.
Don't release domestic ducks at public ponds. Not only is it illegal, it's a crappy thing to do.

UPDATE:
Please spread the word! Tilly was LAST SEEN: on February 16 2021 in Richmond, VA 23236 near ARBORETUM/ARCH RD /POWHITE PKWY Southbound lane

Message from Owner:Update: 8:30a Wednesday 2/17/21
No new sightings since we moved her off of Powhite yesterday. Last sighting was yesterday around noon in the Arch Rd area. Please CALL ME OR THE POLICE IF YOU SEE HER. DO NOT APPROACH HER, CALL HER, OR TRY TO GRAB HER! That just makes her run even further. I need her to stay in one area long enough that we can do a focused search.
My number: 804.904.2677
My son Austin: 804.683.4115
My daughter: 804.683.4558
Police Non-emergency: 804.748.1683
I FEEL OPTIMISTIC!!!
Thank you so much!!! I am really hopeful that she's at least turned away from Powhite and headed back into our residential neighborhood. Although we didn't see her when we looked, at least I know she was still ok at that time. Please keep praying and keeping a lookout for her!
------------------
On Saturday @3:30pm a tree fell on my fence and crushed it. Tilly got spooked and took off.
She went toward Bexley West, but across to 9604 W Providence Road then ran into the woods beside there. We saw her run into the woods beside and behind 9604 W Providence Rd, which is surrounded by Wagstaff, Gallatan, Walkerton, and Scotford, across from Bexley West entrance. We tracked for a while but lost her when she stepped in the creek.
She was spotted on Sunday afternoon in Bexley, running into the woods across Walhalla between Cardiff and Camelback. The caller said she originally thought she saw a coyote, but that it soundedlike it could be her.
She is timid and won't come if you call her, and will probably run away instead. So please don't chase her or grab her!
Please call me immediately and I can come get her.
I really appreciate everyone's help. She's my baby and I'm absolutely terrified for her.
My phone number is 804.904.2677
Please help me find her...

Description: Cream colored golden retriever but muddy so might look like a coyote, according to someone who thought they saw her.
She is afraid of strangers so please don't chase her or grab her, but call me!
