Brain Wellness and Neurofeedback Center (BWB) is a leading center for the research and treatment of symptoms associated with concussion, post traumatic stress, traumatic brain injury, attention issues, headaches and migraines, depression and anxiety, pain and fatigue and many other debilitating disorders. Clients come in with a wide variety of symptoms and each client has a history that is unique. At BWN, we meet each client with an open mind so that each individual's treatment is personalized. An initial evaluation will help determine what treatment options will best fit the desired goals of the individual client. Our treatment approach is one of partnership with our clients and other members of their health care team. We use a wide variety of biofeedback therapies and integrate the BWN treatment plans with the other therapies and treatments the client may already be receiving. We also have an extensive list network of healthcare professionals that we may refer to as needed keeping in mind the goal of solving the clients problem. We will not treat a client that we don't believe we can help, so you have nothing to lose.

The United Airlines Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon and 5K returns to DC on Saturday, March 26 for the second time within a year after its pandemic-induced hiatus. The 5K race will start 8 AM, kicking off at C Street, NE and ending at RFK Stadium. Meanwhile, the scenic half marathon will kick off downtown (Constitution Ave. and 14th St., NW) at 8:30 AM and will also end at RFK Stadium. Both races will feature live bands stationed along each route to entertain runners as they dash past iconic landmarks, such as the Capitol Building and Lincoln Memorial, towards the finish line. Check out the article for the routes for each race, as well as street closures and parking restrictions.

The restrictions will last throughout the morning and afternoon.

Healthcare workers, EMTs, fire fighters, police officers and other frontline workers are all affected by PTSD.

Mary Lee Esty, LCSW-C, Ph.D., devotes an entire chapter of her award-winning book, "Conquering Concussion: Healing TBI Symptoms With Neurofeedback and Without Drugs", to what she refers to as the “wounds of war”. These are physical injuries to the brain as well as emotional trauma that results from being in extraordinary circumstances. According to Dr. Esty, “Everything in the book about TBI and concussion applies to first responders. During neurofeedback treatment, traumatic brain injury and PTSD resolve simultaneously.”
