PSA: You Are Enough ✨

The issue of sufficiency came up several times in clinic today. What a privilege it was to witness folks walk out remembering that they are, indeed, enough.

Even within a culture that would have us believe in the myth of scarcity; in an economy that needs us to think we are lacking; it is possible to remember that we are sufficient, exactly as we are.

Each one of us arrived here with unique gifts to share with the world. We are whole and complete. Nothing missing. Nothing broken.

Let us appreciate the gifts of Autumn 🍂 with her reminders of letting go of what no longer serves. And her invitation to retain that which is precious 💎 including the gifts we carry within us.

We are enough.

It was a good day. Because we say so.

Gifts of Late Summer are still pouring in, even as Autumn chimes in to alert us to the impending, sharper descent. Are we able (and willing) to receive? Can we freely share in the abundance of our harvest?

A hearty ‘thank you’ to our beloved patients for trusting us. It’s an honor to walk beside you on the journey.

Many of us, especially empaths and caregivers, are highly attuned to the needs of others, sometimes to our own detriment.

❤️ All living beings have needs. Sometimes we temporarily take care of others’ needs, at least until they can care for themselves.

👶🏽 Some beings, like babies and pets, depend on us exclusively for their survival.

💁🏽‍♀️ Still, even in the case of our dependents, we must meet our own needs first if we are to be effective in helping others.

🙇🏽‍♀️ Sometimes, we become so attuned to tending others that we can no longer discern whose needs must come first.

🙅🏽‍♀️ We can even forget who’s actually dependent on us, and who’s not.

🐶 Not every barking dog is barking for us. Sometimes they are someone else’s responsibility.

🗣 Sometimes we just need to let them bark.
