Good morning, if you haven’t been around the office lately then you may not know about the couple of updates that we have. Dr. Juan’s last week in the office is next week but that also means Dr. Turner will be coming back to the office the following week (May 5th week)! Drop in or call us next week if you would like to say bye to Dr. Juan or to get on Dr. Turner’s schedule!

Thank you to each one of you that make Turner Chiropractic special. I’ve had an opportunity come across that I just couldn’t pass up. I’ll tell you this, it was not an easy decision. I’ve loved every second of being apart of Turner Chiropractic and I will miss you all! Dr. Turner, Summer and all of the patients will always have a special place in my heart. Not comparing the two professions, to one another, other than hours, of similar subjects studied. Both have a specific purpose, however different with the method of treatment, but for a common goal; help patients get well. If I’m bleeding and in need of emergency care, take me to a medical doctor. If I’m suffering from a musculoskeletal injury, take me to a chiropractor. The health profession, like all professions, has the good and the bad. If you’ve had a negative experience with chiropractic care, seek another doctor of chiropractic. Chiropractic care has taken its fair share of hits in my 25 years of practice. Many times i’ve found, more times than not, the individual criticizing it, has never experienced it or knows very little about what it is we do. We are here to help the many who’ve tried everything, utilizing modern medicine, but only was given prescribed medicine to reduce the pain. This blinds a person to interpreting their issue is now well because they were out of pain. Unfortunately the root of that individual’s problem was never uncovered. That’s what we are here to try to determine, as Doctors of Chiropractic. Correction may take some time but stay the course because we’re trying to undo years of self inflicted abuse or improper habits. I have no problem with patients getting temporary relief with prescription medicine, as long as they are taking measures to correct the problem. So many on my intake forms, indicate some form of depression. But when asked, many just recieve medication without the much needed referral to receive counseling or psychiatric support for the underlying cause. I’ll conclude with this, don’t discount a form of alternative treatment without giving it a legit chance well before conjuring a conclusion or passing judgment.

In case you haven’t seen me lately, in the office, it’s not because I don’t care or have abandoned you. A few years ago I had left shoulder surgery and bilateral elbow surgery. During that time, my right shoulder received some much needed rest. Unfortunately, time back has recreated the right shoulder pain, which I worked through it, only to have a terrible night sleep. Time finding a great doctor, that im confident in, has enabled me to feel my void, in order to schedule my surgery. Surgery date is January 22, 2025! Pray for a successful, speedy recovery, so I can get back to all of you. Disability Insurance also requires I not be actively working for 90 days in order to receive some compensation while out of the clinic. However, rest assured Dr. Juan Vidales will take excellent care of you in my absence. I will tell you though, I am fully aware of your care and will give him my recommendations so that you receive what’s necessary to your healing. Good morning! Many of you may have seen or met him already in the office but we wanted to introduce Dr. Juan Vidales to you all! Dr. Juan joined Turner Chiropractic a couple of months ago and we are so happy to have him!

Hi everyone, my name is Dr. Juan and I’m originally from Roswell, New Mexico. I graduated from Parker Univeristy in December of 2020. In January of 2021 I had the incredible opportunity to work in a pain management clinic in Scottsdale, Arizona but in spring of 2023 my wife (also a chiropractor) who is originally from Garland and I decided it was time to come home. I treated the Garland and surrounding communities until a couple of months ago when I had the amazing opportunity to join Dr. Turner.

I look forward to providing the same quality and loving care that Dr. Turner has provided to his patients over the years!
