X-rays tell us what’s happening inside your mouth. They're important for finding cavities, bone loss, and impacted teeth early, often before you notice any pain. Today’s X-rays use minimal radiation and are safe for most patients. Questions about dental imaging? Please call us at (252) 443-9097.

What you eat affects your oral health. Sugary and acidic foods can wear down enamel and cause cavities. On the other hand, foods rich in calcium strengthen your teeth. Eating a balanced diet helps your smile and keeps you healthy overall. If you have questions about taking care of your teeth, call us at (252) 443-9097.

As the bristles of your toothbrush wear over time, they become less effective at removing plaque and debris from your teeth and gums.🪥 Also, worn-out bristles can be harsh on your gums, causing irritation and even gum recession.

So, if it’s been more than 3–4 months (or the bristles look worn sooner), it’s time for a new toothbrush! Your teeth and gums will thank you 🦷 For more information, give us a call at (252) 443-9097!

Have you ever wondered how many teeth you have? The answer depends on what stage of life you are in! Children have 20 baby teeth. That includes 10 teeth on the top and 10 teeth on the bottom. As they begin losing their baby teeth, a new set of adult teeth will start coming in bringing along a few more with them! Most adults have 32 teeth, and among these are 8 incisors, 4 canines, 8 premolars, and 12 molars, including 4 wisdom teeth.
