🎉 Meet Angela Yeager — Our Newest Addition to the Rogers Health & Rehab Team! 🎉

We’re excited to welcome Angela Yeager as our new Admissions Coordinator! 👋

Angela’s passion for senior care started early — she grew up spending time with her grandparents and retired neighbors, soaking in their wisdom and stories. That connection never left her. Now, she’s turning that lifelong appreciation into a meaningful career helping families navigate the transition into long-term care.

When asked what she loves most about her work, Angela shared, "I’m a natural helper. It brings me so much joy to provide comfort and knowledge to families during what can be a very difficult time." 💙

✨ A few fun facts about Angela:

She’s passionate about vintage treasures and has a home filled with antique finds 🪞

She lives in a wooded area near a creek with resident barred owls 🦉

Her dream superpower? Freezing time to stay ahead of it all!

And… she’s a horror movie fanatic who LOVES Halloween! 🎃👻

Angela’s goal in her new role is to make sure every new resident and family feels confident, welcomed, and supported from day one — like they’ve truly come home. 🏡

What an incredible week celebrating our amazing CNAs! 💪💙 We pulled out all the stops to show our appreciation—and the fun, laughter, and team spirit were off the charts! 📸👇

🦸‍♂️ Monday - Superhero Day: We kicked things off honoring our real-life superheroes in scrubs. Capes, smiles, and pure heart—our CNAs truly save the day, every day!

🪖 Tuesday - Camo Day + Tug o' War: Teamwork and competition took center stage! Big thanks to Tribute Health Plans for visiting with Kona Ice—the perfect sweet treat on a hot day! 🍧

🕺 Wednesday - Neon Rave Day + Dance Party: We turned up the glow and hit the dance floor—so many bright colors and brighter smiles!

🎤 Thursday - Favorite Music Genre Day + Karaoke: From country boots to hip-hop swag, we celebrated every style—plus, our karaoke stars brought the house down! 🎶

🏈 Friday - Sports Team Day + Dunk Tank & Water Balloon Fight: We wrapped the week with a splash! Team pride was strong, and a few brave staff took the plunge for a good laugh 💦😄

🎨 A very special thank you to Kiaria Dunham and Carley Hollett for their incredible decorating skills! Every day felt extra festive because of your creativity and hard work—we appreciate you more than you know!

🌟 Resident Spotlight: Meet Betty Hamby! 🌟

This month, we're thrilled to shine a light on a very special member of our Rogers Health and Rehab family — Betty Hamby, a resident of five wonderful years!

Originally from Lufkin, Texas, Betty made her way to Arkansas with her husband, a dedicated truck driver. She’s a proud mother of six children, grandmother to 12, and has many great-grandchildren who bring her endless joy. ❤️

Betty spent her working years in factories — painting furniture and making delicious hard candies like sugar twists and peanut butter twists. She fondly remembers vacations to California and New Mexico, and says her greatest joy these days is time spent with family.

Here at Rogers, she enjoys physical therapy, playing bingo, and staying active with her favorite hobbies: crochet and embroidery. Her favorite actor? John Wayne — “he is cute!” she says with a laugh. 😄

Her advice to the younger generation is timeless: “Listen to your parents,” and she believes the secret to a happy life is to “Live for God.”

Betty describes herself in three words: Old. Busy. Determined. And to us, she’s also wise, warm-hearted, and truly unforgettable.

She says her favorite part of living at Rogers Health and Rehab is the friendly community, caring therapists, and great food.
“It’s just a great place to be!”

🌴 Wrapping Up Nursing Home Week with a Splash! 🌊

What a fantastic week it's been! We closed out Nursing Home Week with Beach Day today — complete with a cookout, sunshine, and lots of smiles! 🏖️🌭☀️

A big shoutout to LPN Carlos and LPN Carley for taking home the win in our costume contest — you both brought the beach vibes to life! 🏆🎉 And who could forget our very special Flamingo guest who made a surprise appearance and added some tropical flair to the fun! 🦩💃

We’re incredibly grateful to our amazing partners at Northwest Home Health and A-List Home Care for treating us all to the Ice Cream Truck on Wednesday — it was the cherry on top of a sweet week! 🍦❤️

🌟 National Nursing Home Week Fun Has Begun! 🌟

We’re off to an amazing start celebrating National Nursing Home Week 2025! This year’s theme is all about honoring our residents, spreading joy, and celebrating community. 🥰

🎶 50s Day had us rockin’ and rollin’ with poodle skirts, slicked-back hair, and some classic tunes that brought back all the good vibes! (Sorry, forgot to take pictures)
👵👴 And today’s Dress as a Resident Day was full of laughs and love as staff and residents shared smiles, stories, and swapped roles for the day!

Stay tuned – the week is just getting started and there’s more fun to come in Western Day, Tie Dye Day, and Beach Day! ❤️
