PEARL NWA

PEARL NWA A place for healing and growth At PEARL, we believe recovery is possible and deserves compassion, accountability, and community support.

PEARL is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization providing recovery-oriented, trauma-informed services for individuals and families impacted by substance use and related challenges. Our programming includes recovery housing and a peer recovery center offering peer support services, connection, and resources rooted in lived experience and dignity. We focus on creating safe, supportive environments where people can build stability, strengthen recovery, and move forward with hope. Our work is grounded in ethical practice, respect, and a commitment to reducing stigma while promoting long-term healing and growth.

Congratulations to Esteban, a resident of our men’s recovery house, on graduating from PEARL’s recovery housing program today.

Esteban entered our program 597 days ago and made a clear commitment to stability, accountability, and growth. During his time with us, he maintained full-time employment with the same employer, completed the Benton County Drug Court program, and demonstrated consistent dedication to his recovery.

He also served our men’s house with integrity and leadership, first as Assistant House Manager and then, for more than a year, as House Manager. In that role, he showed reliability, humility, and care for others, growing tremendously from the day he first walked through our doors.

As of today, Esteban is transitioning into independent living. Graduating our program on New Year’s Eve feels especially meaningful. Tomorrow he begins 2026 grounded in recovery, stability, and hard-earned momentum.

His journey is a powerful reminder of what is possible when individuals are supported with structure, accountability, and compassion. It is also a testament to the impact of recovery housing and the critical role of Benton County Specialty Courts in creating pathways to lasting change.

We are incredibly proud of you, Esteban, and honored to have been part of your journey. Your story brings light and hope to others who are still finding their way.

Today we gathered as a team to celebrate the end of 2025 with our PEARL staff holiday party. There was amazing cookies, a gift exchange, a lot of laughter, and something that meant a great deal to all of us: team-voted 2025 awards.

Every staff member had a voice, and the awards reflect how this team truly experiences and values one another day to day.

Team-voted awards included:

• Keeps Everything Running Behind the Scenes – Kyra
• Consistent Advocate for Participants – Jim
• Leads with Integrity and Boundaries – Jeff
• Balances Compassion and Accountability – Crystal
• Best Team Energy – Michael
• The Glue That Holds the Team Together – Megan
• Most Growth This Year – Ella & Jordan
• Most Likely to Roll With It – Jim

In addition, I shared a few Executive Director awards that closely aligned with the team’s reflections and offered space to name growth, leadership, and impact more fully:

• PEARL Peer Support Champion – Jim
For the steady, values-driven way he shows up for participants, peers, and the heart of peer support. He models what peer support is meant to be, not loudly, but reliably, and it matters deeply to our organization.

• Growth Into Leadership Award – Crystal
Recognizing her consistent commitment to learning, growth, and responsibility, and the trust she has earned as she steps into program leadership.

• Courage to Grow Award – Jeff
For stepping boldly into an entirely new field, learning constantly, and leading our development work with energy, optimism, and commitment to PEARL’s mission.

• Stabilizing Force Award – Megan
For the professionalism, consistency, and care she brings every day. Her presence helps this organization function at a higher level, and we truly do not know what we would do without her.

• Resilience, Growth, and Recovery Award – Ella
For the resilience and self-awareness she brings to both her recovery and her work, strengthening our recovery community and our team.

• Calm in the Chaos Award – Jordan
For the steadiness, maturity, and thoughtfulness she brings to one of the most demanding roles at PEARL, managing recovery housing with composure and care.

• Willingness to Grow Award – Michael
For leaning into growth early, taking initiative, and pursuing peer support training as he continues to expand his role and impact.

I am deeply grateful for this team. The care, effort, and thoughtfulness they bring to each other and to our participants is what makes PEARL what it is. Today was a reminder of the culture we are building together as we move into 2026.
