❄️ Cold weather can create new challenges for wheelchair users, but a few small precautions can make winter outings safer and more comfortable.

1. If you’re using a power chair, make sure your batteries are fully charged before you head out; colder temperatures can reduce battery performance.

2. Keep your tires dry when possible to avoid slipping, and consider carrying a small towel to wipe off moisture or snow.

3. Clip-on lights can keep you safely illuminated -- a huge help as it’s getting darker much more quickly during winter.

4. Always give yourself a little extra time when traveling in winter conditions.

5. A small baggie of rock salt or snow melt can help break down ice or thicker slush.

Join us for a Sensory-Friendly Showing of ZOOTOPIA 2!
Saturday, December 13th

Autism Involves Me is excited to host a special sensory-friendly screening of Zootopia 2, designed with our AIM families in mind! Enjoy a relaxed, inclusive movie experience where kids can laugh, wiggle, and be themselves without the usual pressures of a traditional theater setting.

Lights will be dim (not dark), the volume will be lowered, and families are welcome to move around, take breaks, or bring comfort items as needed. Our goal is to create a stress-free environment where everyone can enjoy the magic of the movies together.

This event is free for AIM families (donations appreciated, never required).
Parents and caregivers must remain with their children throughout the event.

PLEASE NOTE:
*This event is being held at ROGERS TOWNE CINEMA!!!
*Because this is a sensory-friendly event with limited seating, we kindly ask families to be considerate of others and register only their immediate family members. To ensure space for everyone, please limit registrations to no more than six attendees per family. Thank you for helping us make this experience accessible and enjoyable for all. Adults and Kids need to be registered for this event!

👋🧡Please welcome our newest Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) to the team!

Ashley wrote, "I chose to be a Patient Care Coordinator with POST because I love how much POST values relationships. I’m excited to help support those relationships, whether between our clients and their therapists, their families, or their communities."

Ashley has lived in NWA most of her life, and enjoys gardening, live music, travel, and the outdoors.

Our PCCs are very important to us as they are often the first contact with our families and we are excited to build that team!
