With over 25 years of dedicated experience, I am a licensed massage therapist and a graduate of the National Holistic Institute (Class of 2001). In addition to specializing in deep tissue and relaxation massage, I integrate cupping and Graston (scraping) techniques for deeper healing. I also bring a strong background in nutrition and herbalism, allowing me to offer a holistic approach to wellness. My practice is rooted in both professionalism and care, as I create a peaceful, restorative environment tailored to each client’s individual needs.

The mimosa tree (Albizia julibrissin) carries deep spiritual significance as a “tree of happiness” and a symbol of resilience, renewal, and sunshine. Known for its delicate, fragrant flowers, it represents strength, sensitivity, and the lifting of spirits. It is used in spiritual, cultural, and medicinal practices to foster joy and alleviate anxiety.

💘 I’ve had such a strong connection with this tree my entire life. My parents planted one in our front yard when they bought our house in 1979. I spent my summers playing with the pink blossoms. In my pre teen years, the tree was big enough for me and my dog Hannah to sit in the crook of the trunk. We spent hours a day relaxing in that tree.
When I go back to my hometown, I drive by to visit my mimosa tree.

When I started learning herbalism — I learned the medicinal and spiritual benefits of this plant and my connection to this tree made so much more sense.

I’ve been thinking lately about all the plants in that yard. I know them all — in full detail. I could make a map of the plants in that yard. I know what they smell like, how they feel — that the juniper pokes you if you run your fingers up the stem, rather than down. How all the bees were all over the bottlebrush bush. How folding the sweet gum tree leaves smells like carrots. How many little purple heather flowers it takes to make a proper Barbie sized bouquet. What the warm droplet of sweetness of the honeysuckle tastes like. I knew that camellia flowers could float on top of water.

Those were my first plant friends. They sparked my curiosity and helped me - even when I didn’t realize it. Innate connection.

I was 19 years old and everyone kept telling me that I was supposed to be attending college - getting my general ed credits out of the way - in preparation for the real wave of education and my future.

This plan never sat well with me and I really drug my feet about college.

I’ve always been really good at trusting my intuition and instincts. I’ve always done things my own way. Risk taker. Follow my heart.

Nobody ever talked to the younger me about learning a TRADE. Vocational training!

When I found the most comprehensive Massage program in the area and signed up — I had NO idea that this career would still be my work 26+ years later!

This work has allowed me to experience many areas all over the country! (I’m licensed in 6 states).

Coming back to Oregon has been such a good decision for me. I feel like I’ve come back home.

Gratitude to that 19 year old kid who never fell for the peer pressure of following the protocol to life!

Some of you may or may not know about my intention to add on the next layer to the herbal apothecary business. A small native plant nursery.

One of my most impactful and meaningful experiences was working at this beautiful, small, native plant nursery on the California coast during the pandemic.

My time and what I learned there has always stuck to my heart like glue.

I’ve often said that the nursery part of my journey will be my “retirement plan”. I can hobble around the plants and still propagate when I’m 112 years old 😉

There is a long growing season here in southern Oregon. I really see this vision coming into fruition here …. Stay tuned 🤍🤍🤍
