Please stop apologizing to your doctor.

“I’m sorry I didn’t shave my legs.”
“I’m sorry my clothes are messy.”
“I’m sorry this wound looks gross.”
“I’m sorry for taking your time.”
“I’m sorry for asking so many questions.”

You don’t need to apologize for being sick or needing help.

Honestly… I’ve gone to the grocery store in my farm slippers more than once. Chickens, goats, and life happen. 😅

But the number of people who apologize tells me something important:

Most people are used to feeling rushed at the doctor’s office.
They’ve been made to feel embarrassed.
Like they’re a problem.
Like they’re taking too long.
Like their questions are inconvenient.

Healthcare shouldn’t feel like that.

That’s one of the reasons Direct Primary Care exists. here people actually have time.

No rushing.
No apologies required.

Let’s talk about one of the least glamorous reasons people end up in urgent care…

Bladder infections.

Nothing says “great day” like
burning, urgency, and realizing you now have to sit in a waiting room for hours just to p*e in a cup.

For busy professionals, that’s not just miserable — it’s disruptive.

Missed work.
Lost time.
Urgent care bills.

This is one of the reasons Direct Primary Care exists.

My patients can reach me directly, message symptoms, and often get treatment quickly without the urgent care circus.

Healthcare should be accessible, efficient, and human.

That’s what we’re rebuilding with Direct Primary Care.

One thing I’m seeing more and more with new patients lately:

Bags of supplements.

People walk into the clinic with bottles they found online, from friends, podcasts, or social media trends.

And to be clear — I’m not anti-supplement.

In the right situation, supplements can absolutely support things like:

• metabolic health
• hormone balance
• gut health
• nutrient deficiencies
• longevity and preventative care

I prescribe supplements to patients when they are appropriate and targeted.

But what I often see is supplement stacking without a clear plan.

Multiple products doing the same thing.
Overlapping ingredients.
Very high doses.
Products that aren’t third-party tested.
Or supplements that interact with medications.

More supplements does not always mean better health.

Often the most helpful step is to slow down and ask:

• What problem are we actually trying to solve?
• Is there evidence this supplement helps?
• Is the dose appropriate?
• Is the product high quality?
• Are there interactions?

Sometimes we add targeted support.

Sometimes we remove half the supplements someone is taking.

Good medicine isn’t about throwing more products at the body.

It’s about understanding what the body actually needs.

Curious…

How many supplements are currently in your daily routine? What ones will you not go without? Thoughts?

Seven minutes.

That’s the average amount of time many patients get with their primary care provider in traditional healthcare.

Think about that for a second.

Seven minutes to:

• explain what’s been going on
• review medications
• talk about symptoms
• get an exam
• ask questions
• discuss a plan

And that’s often after waiting months for the appointment.

It’s one of the most common frustrations I hear from new patients.

They finally get in to see their provider, and the visit feels rushed before the conversation even begins.

This isn’t because doctors don’t care.
It’s because the healthcare system is built around volume, insurance billing, and administrative pressure.

There is another model.

It’s called Direct Primary Care (DPC).

Instead of insurance controlling the visit, patients have a direct relationship with their doctor.

That means:

• longer appointments (often 30–60 minutes)
• easier communication with your provider
• more focus on prevention and problem-solving
• fewer middlemen in your healthcare

Direct Primary Care has actually been around for decades, but more patients are discovering it because they want something different from the traditional system.

If you’ve ever left a doctor’s appointment thinking
“I still have questions…”

you’re not alone.

Curious…

What’s the shortest doctor visit you’ve ever had?

No. You aren’t just getting older. I don’t expect you to be content with these types of symptoms.

The afternoon crash. Being exhausted all day but wired at night. Eating pretty well but still gaining weight. Labs coming back “normal” but still feeling off.

Because these things are so common, people often assume they’re normal.

But many times they’re actually patterns that point to something going on underneath the surface.

Stress patterns.
Sleep disruption.
Blood sugar swings.
Hormonal changes.

These are the kinds of things I look for every day in our direct primary care clinic.

Not because every symptom means something serious, but because understanding the pattern often helps us figure out what’s actually driving how someone feels.

👀 Which one of these do you notice the most?

Do you feel heard in your primary care? If not, come check us out at Resolute Integrative Health. Primary care done right.

Little secret…we already had the best price around but now it’s even better!

💉 Immunity Shot: Glutathione + Vitamin C + Zinc
•Glutathione is your body’s “master antioxidant” – it helps manage oxidative stress and fine-tunes immune responses at the cellular level so your immune system can stay sharp, not fried.
•Vitamin C supports white blood cells and has been shown in multiple trials to slightly shorten the duration and severity of common colds when used regularly.
•Zinc is essential for normal immune function and helps your immune cells communicate and respond more effectively.

💊 Oral Zinc Bisglycinate
We pair the shot with highly absorbed zinc bisglycinate, a gentle, well-absorbed form of zinc that supports:
• Immune health
• Skin and tissue repair
• Healthy inflammation balance

🔎 A quick nerd note
Research suggests:
• Regular vitamin C can modestly reduce how long colds last in many people.
• Zinc plays a key “gatekeeper” role in immune cell function and signaling.
• Zinc taken at the right dose and form has been associated with shorter cold duration in some randomized trials.
• Glutathione is a critical antioxidant that helps regulate immune responses; oral glutathione has been shown to increase body stores in healthy adults.

🧩 Supplements are just ONE piece of the immunity puzzle
For a truly resilient system, don’t skip the basics:
• 💤 7–9 hours of high-quality sleep
• 🥗 Protein + colorful plants at each meal
• 🚶‍♀️ Daily movement (even 10–20 mins counts)
• 🧼 Handwashing + not sharing drinks/utensils
• 😌 Stress care: breathwork, prayer, journaling, time outside

📲 call the clinic to schedule your immunity shot - you do not need to be a member to participate.

This is general educational info, not personal medical advice. Always check with your healthcare provider if you’re pregnant, nursing, on medications, or have chronic health conditions before starting new supplements. Long term oral zinc should not be done without copper or further medical recommendations.

Afternoon crashes aren’t normal! Everyone talks about cravings, weight gain, or belly fat…
but one of the earliest and most overlooked signs of insulin resistance is:

👉 The 2–4pm crash.

If you:
• suddenly get exhausted
• feel foggy or irritable
• crave sugar or salt
• need caffeine to push through
• feel shaky, moody, or ‘off’
…your blood sugar and insulin are likely talking to you.

Here’s what’s happening inside your body ⤵️
When insulin surges too high after meals, your blood sugar tanks afterward.
Your brain freaks out.
Your energy plummets.
Your body screams for quick fuel.

And THIS is often the first red flag long before labs become abnormal.

The good news?
Insulin resistance is reversible with the right strategy — nutrition, muscle, sleep, stress, and targeted care.

If this hit home, you’re not alone. And you’re not broken.

You just need a plan and a bit of discipline to get you out of this.

For starters…when is the last time you had your insulin checked or even discussed this with your doc? What did you learn?

I am accepting patients and we focus heavily on metabolic health at Resolute Integrative Health where we do things much different.

Share with someone who could use a helping hand. Like and follow for more useful health education that makes sense.

You will find us in Rogue River serving the greater southern Oregon area.

If you only work out on the days you feel motivated… you’ll hardly ever work out. Am I wrong?

💥💥Here’s the real magic:
You don’t get stronger because you love it.
You get stronger because your brain changes when you do hard things you didn’t want to do.

Every morning you push through the cold room, the old injuries, the tiny workout space, and the 3–4 snoozes, your brain releases:

• BDNF — fertilizer for your neurons
• Norepinephrine — sharper focus
• Dopamine — motivation after you start, not before
• Endorphins — natural pain relief
• Serotonin — mood regulation
• Supports cortisol — steadier stress axis (if done right)

This is why discipline hits different.
Motivation is a feeling.
Discipline is a blueprint your brain learns to follow…and it’s something we have to cultivate.

Every rep literally rewires you.

You’re not just working out…
You’re teaching your brain:

“I keep promises to myself.”
“I do hard things.”
“I rise even when I don’t want to.”

And that version of you?
You’re unstoppable.

There’s something you deserve to know about weight loss medications like Wegovy®, Ozempic®, Zepbound®, Mounjaro®

Many people have been paying WAY more than they need to — not because the meds are just a big investment, but because some clinics roll everything (coaching, visits, injections, overhead) into one giant price and present it as “just the medication.”

Here’s the real story 👇

💊 As of recent updates and costs, Brand-name Wegovy® this week announced 199 monthly price and Zepbound® in the last few months lowered to $500/month self-pay.

That’s dramatically more affordable than what many boutique/“premium” weight-loss clinics have been charging.

🧪 Branded meds are also more predictable — you know exactly what you’re getting.
Compounded GLP-1s absolutely have their place (especially for slow titrations, twice-weekly dosing, intolerance, or shortages), and I still use them when they’re clinically appropriate…
But patients should always know WHAT they’re paying for and WHY.

🤝 If a clinic includes coaching, expertise, support, or medical oversight in their fee — that’s valid and valuable.
But it should be transparent.
You deserve to know what portion is the medication vs. what portion is the treatment.

This is why I speak up.
This is why I opened Resolute Integrative Health.
Integrity matters.
Transparency matters.
Your trust matters.

If you’re confused about what you’re paying for — or want help navigating the safest, most cost-effective weight loss plan — DM me “GLP-1” and I’ll walk you through your options.

We are accepting patients and currently growing our business owner and employer group options for primary care here in Rogue River. Share with your friends who are looking.

Like and follow if you appreciate this transparency!

If you have high blood pressure, I bet that you asked this question, “will I be on meds forever? “

Here’s the truth on what you’re dealing with and what needs to happen in order for you to not be on it forever.

1️⃣ your blood pressure is a pattern, not a single number in time. One high reading doesn’t mean you have actual hypertension. Many things affect these numbers that are temporary. Addressing those corrects the issue.

2️⃣ Many people can eventually reduce or STOP their meds.

This happens when we address the real contributors:
✔ unmanaged stress
✔ nutrient deficiencies
✔ sleep apnea
✔ hormone imbalance (men & women!)
✔ chronic inflammation
✔ sedentary desk-life
✔ insulin resistance
✔ alcohol habits
✔ poor BP cuff technique
✔ dehydration

When those pieces improve, many patients gradually need less medication — some come off entirely.

But “cold turkey” is never the answer.
We taper safely and watch how your numbers respond.

3️⃣ My philosophy at Resolute Integrative Health:

Medication is a bridge, not a life sentence.
Sometimes we need it.
Sometimes we don’t.
Sometimes we use it short-term to keep you safe while your body heals.

But I will never put you on something “just because.”
My job is to figure out what your body is trying to say and help you get healthier, stronger, and more in control.

4️⃣ sadly, I often see people delaying care for years because they were worried about the long-term treatment plan. This is what causes the damage which makes it harder for me to only treat in the short term. Real damage occurs with delay that is lifelong.

High blood pressure doesn’t have to be scary.
You just need a plan, a guide, and someone who actually listens.

do you or someone you love have high blood pressure? Do you think they’re getting good care? I’m taking patients and we are changing the way healthcare is done in southern Oregon. Call to set up your first appointment
