We spend hours every week working on insurance prior authorizations in our clinic even though we are a direct primary care and don’t take insurance. We still work with insurance because most of our patients are insured.

It’s a misconception that DPC clinics like Resolute Integrative Health can’t work with insurance so I wanted to make sure you all were aware. :)

My cost to my patients: $5 for 100 days for one prescription!!
A patient with insurance was charged $35 for 30 pills of Flomax.
Cash pay at the pharmacy was $25 for 90 pills.

Read that again.

This is what happens when you remove the middlemen and work directly with your provider. Direct Primary Care is not just a membership, it is transparency, real access, and pricing that actually makes sense.

You are not stuck. You have options for your medical care and the way you fund it.

We all know that deductible is some magical number in the sky. It is uncommon to meet that threshold for most health people. And if you are an employer, what percentage of your staff are actually using that crazy expensive insurance?

There are better options that are still complaint and they blend perfectly with a direct primary care model. Some options even pay for the direct primary care membership!

One pretty cool mushroom that has the potential to heal neurological issues. This is not medical advice…

This grows naturally in southern Oregon on hard woods like oak, walnut and madrone. Moist falls are the best for this.

You can get this in a supplement but it’s very important you source it well as it can be contaminated. USA based products are best and we do sell this in our Rogue River site.

I typically recommend this to support cognitive thinking and neuropathy.

Never consume supplements without consulting your Primary care provider.

Yes you heard that right! One year of free oz3mp!c we’ve actually done this for a handful of patients! Sometimes time is all you need to give good care!

You hardly ever see the doctor…or maybe you do…

When you need to be seen, you NEED quality and value. You don’t need to be rushed through the appointment and you don’t need care avoided because of a time issue.

The story I tell is a real story and it hurts my heart because I know this is so common.

This gets missed all the time in TRT plans!! 💥💥

How’s your sleep guys? If it’s crap…it’s definitely messing with your testosterone. There is a ton of evidence in research that sleep apnea directly effects men’s health. The low T is just a side effect but bigger consequences lead major health problems later.

Has your doctor screened you for this? It’s as simple as 8 questions called a STOPBANG. There are many options if you score at risk - I like to use a SNAP test with is a thorough at home test that gives an accurate idea of your sleep.

Treating obstructive sleep apnea directly benefits your health and your testosterone. Not treating it leads to ineffective T support.

Are you getting the best care? If your doctor didn’t ask about this…you aren’t.

Advocate for yourself and make sure you are running at full capacity.

This one will make or break your health! Consequences of low Vitamin D can impact far more than your bones. Even the CDC recognizes this major problem.

Vitamin D is actually a hormone precursor that regulates over 1,000 genes in the body. It plays major roles in:

Calcium absorption & bone mineralization 🦴

Mood regulation (linked to serotonin production) 😌

Immune function — especially innate defense against viruses & bacteria 🦠

Metabolic health and insulin sensitivity 🔄

Muscle strength and recovery 💪

Vitamin D deficiency has been linked to:

Depression and seasonal affective disorder (SAD)

Osteopenia & osteoporosis

Autoimmune conditions (like MS, rheumatoid arthritis)

Increased risk of infections

Low energy and brain fog

At Resolute Integrative Health, we routinely test Vitamin D levels in our patients and use evidence-based supplementation strategies to restore optimal health.

🔍 Key insight: Functional medicine targets optimal ranges, not just “normal” ones. We aim for 50–80 ng/mL of serum 25(OH)D — not just above the deficiency line of 30. Interestingly, my CDC source also states on page 173 that rages between 50-75 are sufficient but conventional medicine doctors often ignore this issue if it is “”normal”” above 30.

💡 Tip: Supplementing with D3 (not D2!) in oil-based softgels improves absorption — and it should always be taken with dietary fat. It is important to combined this with K2.
