It’s PJs for Safe Sleep Day!

Today, the Rolette County Public Health District team members are wearing our pajamas to help spark conversations about infant safe sleep. A simple moment can make a big impact. Sharing why safe sleep matters helps families learn how to create safer sleep environments for their babies.

We will be wearing our PJs! Will you???

We will be wearing our PJs! Will you???

Pajamas at work? Yes, please.

On April 16, we’re celebrating the first-ever PJs for Safe Sleep, a National Day of Awareness aligned with National Wear Your Pajamas to Work Day.

Wear your favorite PJs to work, school, or wherever the day takes you and help spark conversations about infant safe sleep. One simple action can help remind families that how and where a baby sleeps matters.

Suffocation during sleep is a leading cause of death in infants under one year old. To reduce this risk, always place your baby on their back to sleep in a safety-approved crib, free from loose bedding and soft objects. Following these safe sleep practices can help protect your baby's life.

🌸Today is Maternal Health Awareness Day🌸
At Healthy Families, we believe every mom deserves safe, respectful, and quality care—before, during, and after pregnancy. This year’s theme, “Holding Ground on Maternal Health,” reminds us to protect progress and ensure all families have access to the support they need.
Our home visiting program is here to help by providing:
💙 Support for prenatal and postpartum care
💙 Education and resources for healthy pregnancies
💙 A listening ear and guidance for all parents
Together, we can make maternal health a priority—because strong moms build strong families. 💪

When babies are fussy and parents are exhausted, it’s easy to make choices that prioritize convenience over safety—such as bringing a baby into bed to help them settle. While this may feel like the quickest solution in the moment, it increases the risk of sleep-related infant death.
