If someone you know is struggling emotionally or having a hard time, you can be the difference in getting them the help they need. It’s important to take care of yourself when you are supporting someone through a difficult time, as this may bring up difficult emotions. If it does, please reach out for support yourself.

Generative artificial intelligence (G*I)

G*I is a powerful technology that enables a user to create new images, videos, audio and text based on user requests or prompts. While G*I technology offers exciting possibilities, it also introduces new risks to child safety online.

Talking to your children about ma*****na at an early age can help them make better choices. Begin talking with your child in an honest and open way when they are in late elementary and early middle school.

▶ Youth are less likely to try ma*****na if they can ask parents for help and know exactly how their parents feel about drug use.

Checking in isn’t just for friends who are visibly upset or going through something. It’s just as important for the ones who seem fine, show up, respond to messages, and don’t ask for help. Mental health struggles don’t always look like isolation and distancing yourself.

If a friend shares that they’re struggling, your job isn’t to fix it.
It’s to be present.

👂Listen without judgment
💯 Validate their feelings (avoid dismissive phrases like “at least…”)
📱 Offer continued support: Check in again next week. Follow up. Stay consistent.

Thankful Thursday 💛
Today, we’re recognizing something worth celebrating — every single day you’ve chosen to live substance-free.

Every substance-free day is:
🌟 a day you protected your future
🌟 a day you stayed true to your goals
🌟 a day you showed strength
🌟 a day you cared for your health and your mind

So today’s challenge:
Count your blessings — one for every day you’ve lived substance-free.
Big or small, they all matter.
And we’re proud of you for every single one. 💛
