Show Me Positive Parenting A project of Phelps County Child Advocacy Network (PCCAN).

We give parents information about local programs that prevent child abuse and children’s health and safety Building strong community resources that will foster healthy development of all children in Phelps county. SMBF is a true collaboration between Missouri's Department of Mental Health, Missouri Foundation for Health, University of Missouri, Phelps County Health Department, Prevention Consultants of Missouri, Phelps county health care providers, and many other local agencies, businesses, organizations, and individuals.

Good information about prevention of SIDS

A reminder that if your baby becomes overheated while sleeping, they are at a higher risk for Sudden Unexpected Infant Death.

Make sure your baby’s room is not too warm and that they are not overdressed while sleeping. Check for signs of overheating such as a sweaty torso or flushed cheeks.
