Sandra Kay Pauley 12/20/1954 - 10/31/2025
Sandy went home to be with the Lord on October 31, 2025, in St. James, MO. A woman of unwavering faith, boundless kindness, and quiet strength, she lived her life in service to others—always putting their needs before her own and meeting each day with gratitude and grace.
Born in Council Bluffs, Iowa to Vernie and Edith Pauley. Sandy learned early the joy of hard work, honesty, and compassion. She carried those values into every season of her life—as a daughter, sister, mother, friend, and especially as “Nana” a role that filled her heart with immeasurable joy and purpose. Her grandchildren were her delight; she cheered their victories, prayed over their worries, and never let them leave without a warm hug and the words ‘I love you,’ spoken straight from the heart.
Sandy’s faith was her compass. She lived the Gospel in the everyday—through a hot meal, a handwritten note, a listening ear. She believed love looks like showing up, and she did—again and again—for anyone who needed her.
She will be deeply missed and forever cherished by her daughter, Stephanie Denney and husband Jason of St. James; her beloved grandchildren, Jaida, Jaxon, and Jager; Sister Vickie Pedro and husband Angus of St. James; Sister Pamela Rhoades and husband Guy of Columbia; Sister Sally Pauley of St. James; Brother Vernie Pauley Jr of Florida; Brother Charles Pauley and wife Rhonda of Newburg; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Vernie and Edith Pauley and Sister Edith Benton.
A celebration of Sandy’s life and legacy will be held soon, where family and friends can honor her memory together.
“Well done, good and faithful servant.” — Matthew 25:23

Welcome to our Weekly Services Spotlight here at Null & Son Funeral Home!

Each week, we highlight a service designed to bring comfort, clarity, and care to the families we serve.

This week, we want to talk about something that has brought peace and healing to families for generations: Traditional Funeral Services.

At Null & Son Funeral Home, we believe that a traditional funeral provides a deeply meaningful opportunity for family and friends to come together, share memories, and begin the journey toward healing. A funeral service not only honors the life of a loved one, it also offers comfort, connection, and a vital sense of closure for those who remain.

Many families tell us:

“Being surrounded by friends and family at the service helped us truly say goodbye.”

And that’s what a traditional funeral does, it gives everyone the chance to gather, reflect, and celebrate a life well-lived in a setting that feels personal and heartfelt. Traditional services allow families to come back together to celebrate the life lived, reconnect, and support one another during a time when that togetherness matters most. They also provide the opportunity to see their loved one one last time, bringing a sense of peace and acceptance that words alone cannot provide.

What a Traditional Funeral Service Can Offer:

🕊️ A meaningful ceremony to honor and remember your loved one
🌹 The comfort of gathering family and friends in person to share stories and support
👁️ The chance to see your loved one one last time, offering comfort and closure
⛪ A familiar and time-honored way to find peace and healing
💙 Professional guidance and compassionate care every step of the way

Traditional funeral services remind us that saying goodbye is an important part of healing. The rituals, words, and moments shared during the service help families express love, grief, and gratitude, creating a lasting sense of peace.

Whether you’re planning ahead or arranging services for a loved one, we are here to support you with compassion, respect, and understanding.

Stop by or give us a call for a private conversation about how we can help you plan a traditional funeral that truly reflects your loved one’s life and legacy.

Have a wonderful week,
Leo, Malinda, Roger, and Valerie

Stay tuned for next week’s spotlight on another service we offer to support you and your family. 💙
