Protein supports far more than muscle. It plays a key role in bone strength, immune health, hormones, and overall resilience.

As we age, our bodies become less efficient at using protein, which can increase the risk of muscle loss and weaker bones.

Experts now recommend adults over 50 aim for 1.2–1.6 g of protein per kg of body weight daily, and up to 2 g/kg/day for those experiencing muscle loss, low bone density, or recovery needs.
