Earlyne Chaney Explains why we work with angels:
It may be that artists of Earth have caught visions of these beings and assumed them to be borne through space by fabulous wings. Reacting subconsciously to a vision, the artist thus depicts the image of radiant winged angels. The thoughtform “wings” sent to Astarians in need of healing or comfort are the shimmering, pulsating silvery white rays of the “Pure White Light.” That is why it is suggested that you surround yourself mentally with this light to assist in bringing about your own healing.

There are, then, seven paths to spiritual attainment at each level. When we use the term “path,” we designate a stream of energy which vibrates at a certain given rate. Each of these seven paths expresses its own vibratory rate. But always it must be remembered that they merge at last into the One Path to Godhood. In the Astarian emblem, the lotus is centered in the seven-pointed star. Each point of the star represents one of these paths. 1st Degree Lesson 5
