Our custom built 150L distiller can be used for alcohol or water extractions of herbs, mushrooms and beyond.

With the incorporation of indirect heating and vacuum operated distillation; distilling and recovery of extraction solvent is safe, efficient and automated.
•
These distillers pair with our extraction vessels in 50L and 150L sizes. We also have cold traps and vacuum regulators available too. All of this information can be found on our website!

With our own, in-house produced honey 🍯 spirit we’ll be extracting these three potent flowers:

Crocus Stamen (Saffron) 🌺
Contains potent neuroprotective and mood altering compounds; crocin, crocetin, and safranal studied heavily in pharmacology for helping with depression, anxiety and libido enhancement.

N. caerulea (Egyptian Lotus) Stamen 🪷
Contains psychoactive and mood altering alkaloids; apomorphine and nuciferine that work by stimulating dopamine receptors.

N. Nuciferia (Sacred Lotus) Stamen 🪷
Contains potent alkaloids; coclaurine, norcoclaurine, nuciferine and other species specific apomorphine derivatives primarily interacting with dopamine and nicotinic receptors.

We will introduce honey back into these extracts to make them delicious while enhancing the natural floral notes of each flower. To make the most potent tinctures, we start with the most potent part of the flower. This results in a tincture inherently rich in alkaloids with less bitter compounds found in the rest of the flower.

NEUROGENESIS AND THE HARMALA ALKALOIDS
•
We are happy to finally introduce some new supplements we have been working on the past summer. These two contain naturally occurring harmala alkaloids (MAOIs) which are the basis for many pharmaceutical compounds and doorways to understanding consciousness.
•
Here in Colorado new laws passed this year making psychedelic mushrooms legal. With that has come a lot of interest in how psychedelics work; particularly their neurogenesis actions and how to enhance and achieve rewiring the brain to be the best it can be.
•
This past summer .the.wizard (founder of Evolved Alchemy) taught several classes on psychedelic mushrooms and MAOIs. These plants and their interactions have a huge role in modulating consciousness and the thoughts we have each day.

From all this research - these two supplements have come into creation because of their ability to enhance mushroom microdoses along with having neurogenesis actions without the trip! Also these are legal in every state where psychedelic mushrooms are not…

Neurogenesis is the formation of new neural pathways. With each day, we have around 90% of the same thoughts as the previous day. In essence, our brains are addicted to the neurochemical cocktails we create with our thoughts. This makes anxiety, addiction, depression and other neurotransmitter based states very hard to change as our brains are quite literally replaying thoughts that reinforce these feelings.

This neurogenesis action of being able to break thought patterns is the key to breaking habits and rewiring the brain in more healthy ways. When these herbs are ingested, for around 8-12 hours we have the ability to break out of our normal thought patterns, which can lead to new patterns formed.

Mushroom Crystals!

Here’s a shot of some crystallized polysaccharides of some sort from maitake mushrooms!
•
We did a hot ethanol extract, distilled to super saturation and then let it cool over night to find these gleaming beauties.
•
They taste somewhat sugary with a slight maitake flavor.
•
These will be used in a class .the.wizard (the founder of Evolved Alchemy) is teaching at the Good Medicine Confluence in Durango at the end of July.
•
The class is actually about psychedelic mushroom extraction but we’ll be modeling the processes on maitake mushrooms for legal matters.
•
