Mr. Randall "Scott" Wilson

Mr. Randall "Scott" Wilson, age 58, of Rome, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Wilson was born on December 14, 1966, in Floyd County, Georgia, to the late Randall Eugene Wilson and the late Olyra Scott Wilson. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Randall "Randy" Wilson. Mr. Wilson grew up in Plainville, Georgia, and this is where he grasped the love of small town community. He was a graduate of Calhoun High School and quickly found that his strong skillset was his inquisitive mind and intelligent reasoning. Scott had a heart for others and it was evident in his community work where he would give anyone a helping hand that needed it. He proudly served as an active volunteer fireman and was a Floyd County EMT in his younger years and would always say his favorite memory was delivering a baby! Scott had many talents and it was widely known that he was a jack of all trades. If there was an electronic to be fixed, he was the guy, if the tractor needed worked on, call him up, if it was a motorcycle issue, again, he was the one who would figure out the problem. He was a hard working man, and prided himself on the fact that if he could improve something, then he'd be the one to do it! His hands lovingly remodeled, restored and crafted many items - even some furniture pieces that his family treasures. He was a HAM radio operator and a member of the Cherokee Capitol Amateur Radio Society where his call sign was KM4INS. Rarely he took some down time, but when he did, it was to enjoy a motorcycle ride on a backroad. He would take the back roads to his favorite get away spot in the mountains and usually ended up in Tellico Plains. It was here that he would cast a line and hope for some trout fish to take the bait. His simple love for others and the memories he made with his family and friends will remain in the hearts of those who loved him most. He will be greatly missed by all those who were lucky enough to know him.

Survivors include his loving wife, Lisa, who he shared 23 wonderful years with; one daughter, Brittany White (Dustin Graham); lifelong friends who were extremely special to him, Rache Bell, Bo Nicholson, LJ Nicholson, Blake Nicholson, Jeff Smith, Denice Cole, Jeff Allen, Tony Flowers, and Nick Lowery; numerous extended family and friends. A special thank you is extended from the family to Dr. Mody and his staff for the care they gave to Scott.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 2PM in the Chapel of Reynolds Funeral Home, 5865 New Calhoun Hwy., Rome, Georgia, 30161.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 12 until 2 PM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Scott's honor to the Cherokee Capitol Amateur Radio Society "CCARS", and can be mailed to: 1054 Mountain Loop Road NW, Sugar Valley, Georgia, 30746.
