🎉 Happy Birthday to the heart behind Salmon Funeral Home & Crematory 🎉

Today we celebrate our owner and funeral director—not just for another year of life, but for the countless lives he touches every single day. His compassion, patience, and steady presence mean more than words can say to the families we serve.

What makes him truly special is that the care he gives here is the same care he gives in his personal life leading with kindness, integrity, and a genuine love for people. This work is more than a profession to him; it’s a calling, and it shows in everything he does!

We are incredibly grateful for Kyle and his leadership, his heart for others, and the way he serves both this community and his family so faithfully.

Wishing you a very happy birthday and a year filled with blessings and happiness🤍🎂🤍

Welcome to “The Comfort Corner” at Salmon Funeral Home & Crematory 🤍🧸🤍

Children DO belong at services to celebrate, honor and grieve just like adults. We believe comfort matters at every age and even our smallest guests are thought of with a safe place to find comfort and normalcy (and in an area close to loved ones) during hard moments because life, love, and memories deserve space to be remembered and celebrated by tiny humans too!! 🧸🪁🖍️🌈

Everyone meet Miles and our very own Junior Comfort Specialist & Chief Smile Officer 💛💙

Miles is the precious son of Kyle and Tabor Kiser, born right here in Rome, Georgia—and quite literally raised at Salmon Funeral Home & Crematory. After coming home from the hospital, his very first home was our apartment above the funeral home, where he quickly became our smallest (and cutest) team member.

Now at just 3½ years old, Miles’ “job duties” include offering the very best hugs, sharing the biggest smiles, and gently reminding all of us to slow down and notice the good around us. While he may not help in the traditional sense just yet, his presence brings something just as meaningful—hope and joy during times that can feel too heavy.

Many families find comfort in his innocent laughter and warm spirit and never meets a stranger! Miles has a special way of touching hearts and reminding us why compassion, love, and family are at the heart of everything we do as a family-run, local business.

And who knows… we may be welcoming Mr. Miles Kiser, Funeral Director as the next generation of our family in 2041 💙💛

Every life has a story, and every story deserves to be told in a personal way 🤍

Recently, we had the honor of serving a precious lady who loved to spend time canning and cooking—especially her homemade biscuits. To celebrate her life and the joy she found in the kitchen, we created a small special setup that reflected her passion and the memories she shared with those she loved.

At our funeral home, we believe no detail is too small when it comes to honoring someone’s life. Whether a service is large or intimate, and whether you bring in personal items or simply share their story with us, we are always honored to help create a meaningful, personalized tribute that reflects your loved one’s hobbies, passions, and legacy.

It’s our privilege to celebrate lives—just as unique as the people who lived them

If you ever have questions or would like to learn more about personalized services, we’re always here to help.

We’d like to recognize Mr. Bobby Don Rogers and Mrs. Angie Minge for their outstanding contributions to our families and community.

Bobby Don has been with us for just over three years, and Angie for almost four. In the funeral profession, skilled, hard working and empathetic team members are rare (especially to have all these together) — Bobby Don and Angie embody all of these and more. They serve in any capacity needed, with unwavering loyalty and a readiness to help—whether on removals around the clock, supporting daily operations, or keeping our facilities pristine for the next family.

Most of all, they bring kindness, patience, dignity and respect to every family we serve. They’re also a lot of fun! 🤣

Bobby Don and Angie are family to us, and we’re grateful to have them at our funeral home. (And yes— even though they are both Alabama football fans, we still love them!)

Please join us in saying hello to Bobby Don and Angie!
