🌿 Got a green thumb?
As the weather warms up, many of us are getting back into the garden—but it’s important to remember that some common plants and gardening products can be dangerous for our pets.
Curious pups and kitties love to explore, dig, and sometimes taste-test what they find. Unfortunately, certain flowers, fertilizers, mulches, and pest control products can pose serious risks.
Here are a few quick tips to help keep your pets safe this season:
🐾 Research plants before adding them to your garden
🐾 Store fertilizers, pesticides, and tools securely
🐾 Avoid cocoa mulch, which can be toxic if ingested
🐾 Rinse paws after outdoor play to remove any chemicals
🐾 Watch for signs of illness like vomiting, drooling, or lethargy
If you think your pet may have gotten into something they shouldn’t, don’t wait—contact your vet right away.
A safe garden is a happy place for everyone—two-legged and four-legged alike! 💚
